What a shame, a real talented guy. Get Back would not be the same without his keyboarding, and George Harrison once said his presence put a stop to all the bickering that was going on up until that point. Oh and don't forget his amazing performance in "The Concert for George".

I have a penchant for that organ sound when used in the right way and he was fantastic. Oh and don't forget his amazing performance in "The Concert for George". Yup, I always loved that show.

How sad....I do remember reading or from that old Beatle Documentary "The Compleat Beatles" saying about Billy's presence in the LIB sessions made it bearable to record.
I also liked that song from the Concert for Bangladesh recording....

George bringing him into LIB was likely, among other things, a dig at pianoman Faulguy for all the BS he was getting away with with the cameras turned on.

The day before Billy died, I was doing yoga and our instuctor had us doing a pose which required a partner. I ended up working with the teacher, but at one point in the pose I stopped my breath because something didn't feel right and I'm pretty intuitive anyway... The teacher asked if I was okay. Later in the day, I started to develope a pain in my left kidney area. I bet most people would probably say I did something wrong, but what if Billy was poking me in the ribs? Billy died from kidney failure, so maybe I was sent a message from beyond--you never know...

Wow, what a lovely story.
I read a story once about someone who was at the side of a close relative when they died. They inevitably were very sad at the passing, however when they left the hospital, they looked at the sky and instantaneously a bright, sunny day became cloudy. However in the clouds seemed to be a perfectly formed smiling face, before reverting back to clear skies. From that moment they felt no more anguish as they new their loved one was happy wherever they are.
I'm normally a cynic, but I like to let these kinda things slide, as it's nice to think things like that do happen.
