This Song goes to the old Lobo song "Baby, I'd Love You To Want Me"
Tribute to Mick Jagger
When I saw Mick standing there I 'bout fell off my chair And when he moved his lips to speak I felt the drool go to my feet
Now it took time for me to know What you tried so not to show Something in your lips just cried I saw the lips flap too wide
Micky, I'd love you to flap me The way that I want you The way that it should be Micky, I'd love you to want me The way that I want to If you'd only let it be.
That's for those oldies but goodies of the 1970's

This is my version of Celine Dion's "Love Theme" song from "Titanic" the movie. Her version is:
My Heart Will Go On
My version is just a light - hearted spoof called: My Voice Will Go On
Every night, all my screams must get through Oh, it's true Hear me now, as my voice goes on 'Screech with such insistance High octaves are a must At each of my shows, I sing on....
(Chorus)
Neeeaaarrrr, faaaaaaar Wheeereeevvver you areee You can hear me, my voice will go ooooon
Once more, you run out the door I still sing out my heart Song's, I'll sing line by line They seem to last a lifetime
I'll never stop 'till I'm done Songs I know will bug you Each lame line, I hold to... Every night, my voice will go on
(Chorus)
Neeeaaaar, faaaaaar, wherever you aaaare... I will scream, and my voice will go oooooOOOOnnnn...
Once more, you run out the door But a song's in my heart And my voice will go ooOooOOoo and oooonn.... This is one voice that will not go away
I'm here, there's nothing to fear Though, I know that my voice does drone on I'll sing forever that way I will sing from the heart
And my voice will gooo oooooOOOOooooo and ooonnn...
(Chorus)
Neeeaaaar, faaaaaar, wherever you aaaare... I will scream, and my voice will go oooooOOOOnnnn...
My Heart Will Go On (Love Theme) - Lyrics
- (Love Theme From "Titanic")
Every night in my dreams I see you. I feel you. That is how I know you go on.
Far across the distance And spaces between us You have come to show you go on.
Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on
Love can touch us one time And last for a lifetime And never go till we're one
Love was when I loved you One true time I hold to In my life we'll always go on
Near, far, wherever you are I believe that the heart does go on Once more you open the door And you're here in my heart And my heart will go on and on
There is some love that will not go away
You're here, there's nothing I fear, And I know that my heart will go on We'll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart And my heart will go on and on

They passed an ordinance in the city of Las Vegas whereby she must legally stop singing by 11PM every night because her powerful voice continues to echo locally for up to one hour after she has stopped singing, and since Wayne Newton's bedtime is midnight.......

LOL! ;D That's funneeee! The truth is Doc', I like most of the artists I parody. At least a little. Even Nickelback. Well, sorta'. Celine's vocals can be a bit much, but she's a phenomenal singer and she has some great songs.

Don't get started on Wayne Newton....I remember when he first started, he looked like a woman.....

My true opinion of her is that she is a consummate professional with a phenominal voice who possesses rare control over registers that few women can ever attain. Her breath control and security of placement, with agility, and control of volume thruout her voice, are world class and are the reason she is justifiably one of a handful of leading superstars in the pop singing business. She picks material well, and has a masterful presentation of it. She succeeds at blending a high-energy vocal approach with lyricism and restraint, not an easy thing IMO. And yet, the light-hearted jibes rolled forth from our ivyed posts...... But why her? Why not Cher, or Bjork, or Pink? 'Cause she recorded a chart-topper tune for an blockbuster movie? Or, 'cause in the video she beats her breast on the bow of the boat? Or, am I just a little jealous that she can sing anything and everything? Are you thinkin', "bingo"? ['cause I sure am..........]

['cause I sure am..........] Of course, I like her music as well. For me, though, a couple of her songs go overboard. But I love the Love Theme from Titanic. Most of the singers and songs I spoof, I actually like. Celine broadcasted a live feed from Las Vegas to the Canadian local during Live 8. She got completely booed. That was unfair. I think people thought she should've appeared in person. Or maybe they just thought she sucks. That's too bad, really... I poke some gentle fun at her. But I don't think she deserves to be malichiously maligned so much. Quiz: How many CD's have those of us who've kidded Celine sold?! 50, 100, or a few thousand...? Anybody? Bueller? I'd say "bingo" is about right, Doc'. That one song (MHWGO) was maybe overkill because it was overplayed.. that's not her fault. Celine's the biggest selling female singer in pop music history, Worldwide. Her songs will sell on and on and on and on...

This is my parody of a song called: The Twilight Zone. Which is actually a parody of WAL MART! Here it is ..... WAL MART ZONE (Somewhere in a lonely shopping mall, There's a girl starting to realize That eternal fate has turned its back on her, It's two p.m...........)
It's two p.m., the fear is strong I'm doing some shopping', my purse is full I'm tired of just sitting here, I'm gonna take a chance Yeah there's a store up ahead, much to my dread I'm trapped by my curiousity, brain curcuits are dead I cannot resist, my whole mind slips into a frenzy
Help I'm steppin' into the WAL MART zone The place is a madhouse, employees bein' cloned My reason's removed, now I've gone way too far What am I to buy now that my money's all gone
Help I'm steppin' into the WAL MART zone The place is a nuthouse, loudspeaker's droning on All reason's removed, now I've gone way too far Where am I to shop now that my money's all gone
So, it just goes to show You're better off goin' home So, it just goes to show You're better off stayin' home
I'm walking down an aisle, frustration starts to grow A wall of floss and toothpaste, high above I can't find what I want, what to do, I'm feelin' blue Well the lights shine brightly, turned way too high This far from the check - out line And when the bill has come You know damn well you have been cheated
Help I'm steppin' into the WAL MART zone The place is a nuthouse, loudspeaker's droning on All reason's removed, now I've gone way too far Where am I to shop now that my money's all gone
So, it just goes to show You're better off goin' home So, it just goes to show You're better off stayin' home So, it just goes to show You're better off goin' home So, it just goes to show You're better off stayin' home
These are the original lyrics... for your ummm... perusal. The Twilight Zone Twilight Zone - Original Lyrics
(Somewhere in a lonely hotel room, There's a guy starting to realize That eternal fate has turned its back on him, It's two a.m...........)
It's two a.m., the fear has gone I'm sittin' here waitin', the gun still warm Maybe my connection is tired of takin' chances Yeah there's a storm on the loose, sirens in my head I'm wrapped up in silence, all circuits are dead I cannot decode, my whole life spins into a frenzy
Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone The place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned My beacon's been moved under moon and star Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far
Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone The place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned My beacon's been moved under moon and star Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far Soon you will come to know, When the bullet hits the bone Soon you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone
I'm falling down a spiral, destination unknown A double-crossed messenger, all alone I can't get no connection, can't get through, where are you Well the night weighs heavy on his guilty mind This far from the borderline And when the hit man comes He knows damn well he has been cheated

This is an extended rehash of The First Cut Is The Deepest by Cat Stevens. Sheryl Crow's lazy-day version ...zZZZzzzz.. Though I like her original music, this is kinda' lamo!
The First Take Is The Weakest
I should have sung this with all of my heart But there's no way I'm re-singing my part I don't like giving it all that I've got If I tried, I'd screw it up, again Maybe I'd screw it up again, but who knows...
The first take is the weakest, believe me, I know The first take is the weakest 'Cause when it comes to singing on-key, it hurts When it comes to singing covers I'm worst But when it comes to being lazy, I'm first That's why it shows...
The first take is the weakest, believe me, I know The first take is the weakest....
I will sing it in a voice that sounds tired I can't help it, I do that all the time And I'm sure gonna' sing like I'm fried And if you care, I flubbed a line again Maybe, I flubbed another line, but who cares
The first take is the weakest, believe me, I know The first take is the weakest 'Cause when it comes to singing on-key, it hurts When it comes to singing covers I'm worst But when it comes to being lazy, I'm first That's why it shows...
I thought I'd do this old song for a lark But there's no way I'm re-doing my part And they'll buy it for 2 bucks at Wal Mart 'Cause I know that all my fans aren't so smart
The first take is the weakest, believe me, I know The first take is the weakest
'Cause when it comes to singing on-key, it hurts When it comes to singing covers I'm worst But when it comes to singing lousy, I'm first That's why it shows...
Flubbed a line again...

The First Cut Is the Deepest (Original Lyrics by Cat Stevens)
I would have given you all of my heart But there's someone who's torn it apart And he's taken just all that I have But if you want I'll try to love again Baby, I'll try to love again but I know
The first cut is the deepest Baby I know the first cut is the deepest But when it comes to being lucky he's cursed When it comes to loving me he's worst
I still want you by my side Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried And I'm sure going to give you a try And if you want I'll try to love again (try) Baby, I'll try to love again but I know
The first cut is the deepest Baby I know the first cut is the deepest But when it comes to being lucky he's cursed When it comes to loving me he's worst
I still want you by my side Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried But I'm sure gonna give you a try 'Cause if you want I'll try to love again (try to love again) Baby, I'll try to love again but I know
The first cut is the deepest Baby I know, the first cut is the deepest When it comes to being lucky he's cursed When it comes to loving me he's worst
The first cut is the deepest baby I know The first cut is the deepest try to love again...

Hilarious, M.Vaggie---another gem!
Heck, I'm not usually too happy with numbers 2, 3 or 4. I think I start rolling into view of the musical target around take 5 or 6. And after take ten or so there's always ProTools...........
