You might be interested in this story. I was walking home yesterday from the (very good) Harry Potter movie. I was crossing the street and right after I stepped off of the curb, a bicycle shot out of nowhere. I was struck and fell onto my face, knocking off the bottom half of my right tooth. My upper lip was injured also, but not seriously. As we all know, in 1966 Paul fell off of his moped onto his face and his tooth was chipped also (the left one.)
As I'd posted earlier, I was also almost involved in an accident 6 months ago. The "Paul is Dead" sites on the Internet had made me interested in him after a hiatus of 20 years. I was walking up the library driveway with a copy of "The Beatles Anthology" under my arm, when I heard a motorcycle behind me. I turned the wrong way to avoid it and narrowly missed being hit. That night to cap things off "Eleanor Rigby"- as song rarely ever played- came over the radio. So, I wonder if there is a curse attached to "Paul is Dead," even if like me, you don't totally believe in it. I wonder if I will be decapitated next!
But seriously- whie Paul actually looked cute with his chipped tooth, I hate having to present mine to the world. I want to know where I can get it capped cheaply as possible. Can anyone help? (I live in the San Francisco Bay area.)
One last thing- I saw a recent photo of Paul with the chipped tooth now missing (the accident must have loosened it I guess, and over the years it worked its way free.) I suppose he wears a fake one most of the time. If that doesn't prove he's alive, nothing does. (~_^)

Hey, sorry Jonna, that you had to move it. I thought it was a bit PID related, if it wasn't for that I would have been freaked out by it more.

no problem Jerri, it was moved because it was more personal and i felt it was better in the OT section. Personal stories are very welcome here, it helps us all feel more like friends, i just feel that OT is the best place, that way its easier to find our way around.

So, I wonder if there is a curse attached to "Paul is Dead," even if like me, you don't totally believe in it. I wonder if I will be decapitated next! There for a while there, I was certain something was jinxed. As soon as I thought jpm.org was up & goin', my partner dissappeared; leavin' me with stuff I don't know how to do & don't have time to learn. So after a while, I thought I'd offer to pay my webmaster lady (who takes care of ruddart for me) to go in & set it up for me. Well guess what..... after years of perfect hosting service, the day I send my webmaster an email explaining & asking her if she could be paid to set this up...... ruddart.com crashed.... her home site crashed... every business she webmasters for crashed .... And everybody stayed crashed for 2 or 3 days & it hasn't quite got back to perfect again yet.... a few months later. Uhhhh, And I haven't had the nerve (or the time, or for that matter, the money) to bring it up again.

Sorry you had a run of bad luck with that endeavor. I thought it was a noble idea.
Maybe that is a signal that its not the time or place yet. Maybe another door will open. I hope you recoup the cash etc. involved in the attempt; maybe circumstances will drop you a windfall to zero out the inconvenience.
With all your webmaster's sequence of catastrophes----this is a sign. New directioin, new plan, and at least, new webmaster. Just a thought---could be a blessin' in disguise.
Somewhere, someplace, sometime, there must be a way to respectfully memorialize JP. You 've shown respect, like others here. Honorable intentions are gonna prevail.
