One thing that's puzzled me for a while - the url name of this forum. It took me ages to be able to type it in correctly. I still get it wrong sometimes. What does INVANDDIS mean? Something obvious that I'm missing? It's certainly nothing like PID or PWR. Someone's name perhaps?

Well that's what bookmarks are for friend. ;D Honestly I'm not even sure I remember myself anymore, but.. It was a placeholder name because after the 60IF split business, (perhaps you may remember that?) we just couldn't figure out what to call it. "Nothing Is Real" as a subtitle came up later. Invanddis is of Spanish derivation, and what it means exactly I'll have to ask LJ next time she visits.. I think it's something like "no name yet" or some such. (I probably totally messed that up, lol)

(I probably totally messed that up, lol) I always thought that it was the default name for proboards sites before they recieved a real name, e.g. "invanddis" is short for "invalid and disabled" meaning the website was unfunctioning, just an available unrented one like a dead phone number (that number is no longer in service) and that it was opened before the true title (NIR) was arrived at. Ah, a miscalculation on my part.

Ah, a miscalculation on my part. I've always assumed the same thing.

The Doc's idea of a combination of two words may be what it was..Again they were Spanish words though, I'm sure of that. The discussion regarding this is lost to the sands of time you might say..
