Is the server this board is on, and has been having intermittent problems. No other server has been messed up, although it does affect hundreds or probably thousands of other boards. Just an FYI, in case you were wondering.

Of course the thought did cross my mind that we were being targeted, but I figured I was being [glow=orange,2,300]paranoid.[/glow] But just because I was paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get us! ;D Beatlies/Total must have hit upon something that made them nervous. Or Gary Shepherd notified the Crown. Well, we're in good company, that's all I have to say.

Notify the Crown? Or notify U.S. Marshal Jim Crown? [Warning: Doc is about to go hugely off-topic. Oh? No one is surprised?] Could that be U.S. Marshal Jim Crown of "Cimarron Strip?" Of the CBS talevision western, Cimarron Strip? Who remembers it? I recently found a web site that hosts many TV themes, old and new. I had to listen back to numerous ones. One of my old favorites was to the western, "Cimarron Strip." I let it play in i-Tunes on the repeat song mode. I read other material. As I listened a clear picture, a memory of part of the opening credit popped into my head. Every time a certain phrase played in the music, where a 12-string guitar aggressively strums a big fat D major chord, I saw (in the mind's eye) a man on horseback, in a cowboy hat, riding at a gallop from left to right across the screen, as the shot pulled back quite far to reveal him crossing an ever broadening desert-scape. The steed he rode upon kicked up quite a lot of dust. The shot was extreme in how far it went; the cowboy becomes a small figure on a vast stretch of Western wasteland. The theme music was broad, expansive, thrilling, as good as 60's TV themes got. In my memory, of course. That is in my memory, I think, but is it a real memory? But, I haven't seen any part of that show since 1967, and only recently heard the theme again, though it sounded completely familiar. So, after looking around the net a little, a couple of weeks later, I found this site: www.cimarronstrip.com/cimpg.htmlwhich says: Each Thursday night starting at 7:30, Cimarron Strip would begin with a powerful introduction. An opening zoom shot of a U.S. Marshals badge would merge and fade into scenic aerial footage (filmed at Bishop, Ca) of Stuart Whitman on horseback, riding in heroic style onto the massive and rugged terrain of the Cimarron Strip. Adding to this was musical composer Maurice Jarre's magnificent and memorable theme score. The combination of these two marvelously designed components gave the program the look and feel of a major motion picture. Such an approach was rarely ever (if at all) seen in a television program. It was a more intricate, sophisticated concept than precious Westerns on TV had been; perhaps the approach was over everyone's head in America. They tuned in for a few episodes, then tuned it out. In spite of having excellent guest stars, strong scriptwriting, and high production values. The majority just didn't get it so it lasted only a short time. In fact, this show ran only one season, in 1967. They only made 23 episodes. I watched it weekly; I loved it. I see it was re-ran in 1971--I missed out on that somehow. Anyway, the DVD's are now available and I must get it to see if my memory matches the actual shot on the series........ As far as the other "Crown" being concerned about our musings here, (the Imperial Crown across the pond from my little country,) well I don't think they are any too worried about any revelations from here, be they by Beatlies or Total or any of the rest of us. Why so? This is a much more intricate, sophisticated web-concept than most internet bloggers have seen; perhaps the approach was over everyone's head on this, the Internet Highway. New members tune in for a few threads, then tune out. In spite of having excellent guest stars, strong scriptwriting, and high redaction values., the majority who view just don't "get it", so new members last only a short time. Well at least it won't be CBS who cancels us. Why? Who knows. Stuart Whitman never understood it either.

Cimarron Strip TrailerBut going back to problems on this forum, currently we get "Done, but with errors on page" at the bottom of the screen. Presumably a moderator here is experimenting with some javascript codes.

This one goes a little further into the opening theme. www.customflix.com/Store/Trailer.jsp?id=208215I still remember the horse taking off at a mad pace while the apparent camera position is overhead, not in front, and a lot of dust. Maybe that was another series........hmmm...
