Hey me too Doc, didn't you bust a gut when George is interviewing the "Apple" executive and the place is being picked clean? ;D Or another classic scene, Nasty and Joko in the shower for peace, haha!!

Oh I had a cow. OK< with all due respect to Eppy, when they did the "Leggy has gone ao Australia, and they did the interview at of all places some twisted version of "Bangor" was it "Bondar"? I have to watch it again--and the actor that did Lennon so PERFECTLY mimicked his speech. The nuances were really there, and "overworked" to just the right level. (The Maharishi told us not to get to sad cause our emotions would go to him and he was in a better place blah blah blah). On the nose!!!!
The MMT stuff was great---the rewritten song "I am the Walrus" had all the little musical bits and so forth (WHOOOOoooHH!), the deliciously Psychedelic string writing---his John singing imitation was great too.
Paul singing to the queen was priceless. I never realized it, but McCartney, early , tended to really work the eyes when doing a solo.
The wigs followed history; the clothes followed history. The black and white to color, the whole documentary clip feel of it:
I have to view 2 or 3 more times. But I give it an A+.
The songs spoofed sucessfully. With wit AND respect. Clever clever clever stuff.
Hey, these actors CLEARLY studies the Beatle interview footage etc. in DETAIL. They had to notice, because it there talent and business to do so, FAR more about the nuances of the individual Beatles than I ever have. It was in seeing those moments that I saw that plenty of people in the world have had ample opportunity to study John, Paul, George, and Ringo in depth.
Why didn't they notice a, ahem...., transition? They saw it all too. They are paid to be expert in charactor study.
It either means (a) Paul IS the same person, or (b) "Bill" is as good at acting imitations as ANY of the best of them.

Actually, yes---Dirk had it down to a tea!!!!!! The head movements, the enthusiasm, the facial attitudes and movements-- Also, the Lennon actor (i cant remember squat tonite im gonna have to go and get the box heck im too lazy ill get it for next post) the little vocal ad lib of "Hold Your Hand" (As the alternate choice for the actual line from She loves You that the real Lennon sang)oin a very sharp and off key way---well, the whole scene was spoofed with a lot of attention to the little things. Even Ringos counterpart at the drums in that song----
Also, the whole tea-drinking send-up on Sargaent ?Only Darts Club Band gave me apoplexy. Does "tea" ever stop being a comic setting for British humor? I don't think so. Lennon in the tub with Joko--help me my sides..........!!!!
They really cleverly GOT IT ALL in there. Very observant.
Harrison and Palin. Yes yes yes.
I think they could have done something with Fool on the Hill.
The other MMT antics were cute--I think they went to the same location to get that tent scene etc---tue to the original.
Too bad Blue Jay Way didnot get a send up, but the Within You Without You music did and very well.
Cheese and Onions? IS that a take off of Glass Onion?
Well, Im rambling. I really enjoyed it, the intent, and the attention to details. You almost NEED to have a Beatle primer before you can really get it. Plan to watch again...........

It was Bognor.
And as for Joko, her name in the movie is Chastity and her daddy invented World War II.

I thought the part where "Dirk is Dead" was also a "Stig is dead" and Barry just stayed in bed, was interesting to add to the story.
I liked the title "All You Need is Cash".

I've known about "the Rutles" for some time now and the only bit i've seen is the "I am The Walrus" parody, you don't have it "up" by any chance do you JoJo?

It's funny. When I first saw it, I only saw some of it, I thought it was a mean type of humor, but then I realized George was part of it.
I wonder if there are some real clues in it, but hidden under a humorous facade?
