I see there's a new Beatles 4cd box out. The original individual cd releases were like the Brittish albums, the US albums were different. This recreates the 1st 4 US albums. Meet The Beatles The Beatles Second Album Something New Beatles 65.
Each disc has 2 versions of each album... "Newly digitized" stereo & Mono....(which will be the reason why I'll have to buy this box.)

I got it for Christmas! It's great. I am really enjoying "Baby's in Black" since I don't have any cd's with that song featured on it.

A friend was speculating the other day as to why they're doin' this with the US releases. Could it be that all the original Beatles cd's are fixin' to be re-released? It's about time they remastered those old albums., those cd's have been on the market for a long time.
Well, if they are gonna re-release all that stuff remastered with a noticably improved sound, I guess I'll be buyin' it all over again.
I've had to do that several times. Have a nice complete collection of an artist & then the remasters are released & they sound so much better that I then have to buy the entire collection again.! That's happened with old Elvis Costello, old Residents, Jimi Hendrix, Yes, Joy Division, & a few others. Them record companies know how to get my money! But The Residents are kings of this marketing stuff. Take for example the 1979 avant-garde masterpiece Eskimo..... I've bought that 4 times! 1.original white vinyl LP 2.original cd 3.remastered cd 4.the DVD
Crap.... how can I afford anything new when I'm buyin' the same stuff over again?
