Thought I'd share this peculiar story of the Beatles. In the show, Dorothy (played by Bea Arthur) was fixed up with a blind date and wanted Blanche(Rue Mc Clanahan) to go on this date for her while she went to see Beatlemania. Dorothy had wanted to see the Beatles at Shea Stadium but she couldn't because her daughter was sick and missed an opportunity of a lifetime. The strange turn of events, Dorothy ended up with the guy who played Paul (Played by the actor who also starred as the dead guy in Weekend at Bernie's) He spent the night with her in Blanche's house. The next morning he came out wearing one of Dorothy's housecoats. Her mother made jokes about the "British Invasion going on in her bedroom". Then "Paul" left the band to star in a one man show. His show began with "I've Got To Be Me" and ended with"Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting"... The mother called Dorothy pathetic because she broke up fake bands and proceeded to call her Yoko Zbornack. She was embarrassed when he performed a song for her "Dot, Dot, what a girl I got, when we shower together we don't need hot"..... I know this must thrill the guys to death with the thoughts of Bea Arthur having a fling with a fake Beatle Paul.... I also mention that Rose (Betty White) and Blanche were members of the Elvis Presley Hunka Hunka Burning Love Fan club and Dorothy was kicked out because she made fun of a pork chop that was supposedly partially eaten by Elvis, but was enshrined for the fans to ogle. Hey, some strangeness never hurts anyone.....

Well that's kinda fun, a parody of Beatlemania, then the image many have of Yoko breaking up the band as an added measure. And, in a sideways manner, PID, by having the Bernie guy play Paul. (get the reference I suppose)
John once said Paul always wanted to be a one man band.. He was referring to Bill of course.

Boy, is THAT ever true. It's said that he played every instrument on the McCartney album. A one-man band indeed LR that was a great story ! ;D
