A request from Richard Warren Lipack, author of Epoch Moments and Secrets..
The images of Paul underwater were taken at the swimming pool that had a special glass window housing enabling photographers to take shots of people underwater! These important pics are hardly "snapshots." This swimming pool is located at the Benedict Canyon digs that was supposedly (according to DATEBOOK - but could have been 'altered' for publication) located at 7655 Curson Terrace.
Now JoJo, here is the thing and maybe you can elicit your readers to help me - as this would help me in my next project.
Robin Givens, boxer Mike Tyson's ex-wife came out a few years back and stated that the house she had bought in the late 1990's was a house the Beatles stayed at while they were on tour. Well, they stayed at the Benedict Canyon location both in 1965 and 1966. Now, Givens also has gone on record to say (Google it), that John Lennon's ghost stays often in her house and is a very nice ghost as a matter of fact! Anyway, I learned as well that the house they stayed may have had a different address, but I am not sure now. In any event, what I need to find out is if Robin Givens house is the SAME house as that taken in these Benedict Canyon negatives. I believe they are. And anyway, for Givens to come forward and say that Lennon's supposed ghost is very happy when he is in her house, obviously Lennon had a great time at this place with the Beatles, so he comes back to visit quite often. And as you can see from the photos, John certainly did have a grand old time here at the house! But maybe one of your readers can come up with more definitive info on this - if this place is the current Robin Given's house?
I told him his book was the most informative info I have read regarding the events he discusses, but here it is, perhaps someone can be of assistance?
Richard has met some interesting people, the acknowledgment section of his book mentions numerous conversations with Clive Epstein, 50+ letters from same, as well as a stay at Queenie's house.

Gee, I wonder what the people who are stating that Brian Epstein never really existed will say.

Well it boils down to this: the address that comes up on Google searches as to where the Beatles stayed in Benedict Canyon is 2850 Benedict Canyon Drive. We're looking for confirmation that this is the current address of Robin Givens, so if anyone in the LA area happens to know anything.. please let me know, thanks.

Don't forget the same house can later be given a different address. The Tate-murder house, which many believe to have been the house the Beatles stayed at in L.A. was given a different address after the publicity of the murders. The Reagans wouldn't move into their post-Presidency ranch until the address was changed from 666 at Nancy's insistence, etc...

These are some scans from Datebook magazine, although Richard owns the working copyright to this material presently. Now, the 2850 Benedict Canyon Dr. address that floats around the net may not be realistic, here is an MSN Live Earth satellite photo: However, the Cursan Terrace satellite photo even shows the footbridge that Paul is looking out over: Pretty nice digs!

Richard looked at this thread a day or two ago and asked me to post this here: Hi JoJo;
I went to the link and I see you did a good job sorting out the details of the Curson Terrace location, however, I think it would be best to further clarify that when one looks at both of the images from Datebook (or the one on page 230 in my book EMS), both which are essentially from the same vantage point, but cropped differently - one should compare where the big chimney seen on the house is and compare it with the satellite aerial shot of the Curson Terrace compound. One needs to look at the with the chimney in the one house section and also, look and compare the diving board in each shot, as well as taking note of the corner of the front house roofline. All three elements match up in each of the images, verifying beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Curson Terrace location IS the location where the Beatles tripped on LSD and hung out during their 1965 and 1966 tours. There is no conjecture here. Anybody who is on the fence on this one hasn't really looked that close at the photos. But the Benedict Canyon Road location cited on the internet is obviously pure fantasy, but as we all know, alot of people like to believe alot of the half truths and bogus data circulating on the internet. Also, I do want to thank you for finding on the internet those satellite images of both the bogus Benedict Canyon Road location and the bonafide Curson Terrace location and bringing them to my attention! .What a wonderful surprise!
Thank you.
Regards,

Btw, does anyone here live in the LA area? If you know where Robin Givens lives, we have a job for you..

That's OK Letter B, and it's a nice place to visit as they say.. But unless you have serious wads of cash to insulate yourself from all the craziness, it could wear on you IMO.
Btw, by "job", I mean a little something for your trouble.. Thanks.

So, did they stay at both houses? Engage in activities @ Benedict Canyon that they couldn't @ Curson?
Did DORIS DAY inc. own both houses?

Nov and Dec of 1966, he was able to use them in his book this way. He has the negatives, but had quite a lot of legal issues to be able to publish them, but ended up using Datebook's "working copyright", a rather unusual workaround.

I can tell you this is definitely 7655 Curson Terrace. It is currently owned by Drew Barrymore and William Kopelman. How do I know this? Well, because j was there doing work last week. I have pictures, too. Very excited to know the Beatles have stayed there. I can also tell you that there was some sort of room adjacent to the pool and connected to the driveway that had an underground section. In fact, the pics you have would have been taken from the top of the stairs leading down to that area.

Interestingly, this house was used to film a movie in 1967, "Point Blank" Brewster’s extensive ranch-style estate is a private home at 7655 Curson Terrace, on a bluff overlooking Hollywood Boulevard, with fantastic views across the city. Described as ‘Japanese-Alpine’, there’s little to see from the road, the property was luxurious enough to have been rented by The Beatles during their 1966 tour.theeditroomfloor.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/unseen-photos-from-point-blank-part-7.html
