Ok I don't have the clip ready yet, it's being processed from a DVD to a smaller mpg file. To set it up, John and Yoko are in bed, and John is reading fan letters. Not sure of the date, but I'd guess sometime in the early seventies.
John: (reading out loud) "Dear Mr. Lennon, from information I received while using the ouija board, I believe that will be an attempt to assassinate you. The spirit that gave me this information was Brian Epstein." (John looks at Yoko and laughs) "He said an attempt will be made March 6, (inintelligible mumbling), Mr Epstein said Paul Mccartney was alive and well in London." (John laughs again) Is that true, please state that it is, because I'd very much prefer that he's in London. (the last sentence is my best guess, some words John said so fast it's hard to tell)
Then John says: "That's funny, he never said anything to me in Athens, hehe"
Is he talking about Brian or Paul? It has the ring of something John slipped in, like his Tonight Show "policeman" comment. But it really is another puzzler...
FYI: According to A book i have called The Beatles, a Diary, Paul, Jane, John, Cynthia, Julian, Neil, "Magic Alex" and his father, George and Patti, and Ringo arrived in Athens on July 22, 1967. Ringo and Neil went back on July 26, the rest left on either the 29th or the 30th, after spending a few days on a yacht, and inspecting an island they wanted to buy. It says they lost interest in the island and eventually sold it back to the government.
