She got (second) worst person in the world honors from Keith Olbermann tonight, for throwing a glass of water into Fiona Shackleton's face. (Sir Paul's lawyer) A bit impulsive, ya think? She may have been wanting to see if she'd melt. All she could see was GREEN.

I don't know either of these people. (Paul or Heather.)
I only know what I have been fed.
To play judge here would be pretty fuckin' presumptious.

Barbara Walters and other TV outlets have been a bit raunchier about Heather; anyway divorce is a serious issue especially when there is a young child involved I always wanted Heather to get a satisfactory settlement; I think she is fairly content. Sir Paul did not lose his shirt exactly. Oh, it's a boat load of money. I have no concept. But it's an easier amount than many had projected as possible. Anyway, this news story is finally over and done and resolved and I guess everyone can get back to what they were doing. What were we doing?

situation is no different............if they were in Ca, 50/50 California IS a 50/50 community property state, but what that means is that when the marriage is dissolved, there is a 50/50 split OF THE PORTION OF THE MARITAL ESTATE THAT INCREASED OVER THE DURATION OF THE MARRIAGE. There's a big difference between that and a 50/50 split of the entire estate. Ok, I stand corrected 65if and J. No need to 'effin yell.

I heard the "Class B" remark, yes. She claimed that due to the paltry child support order ($70,000/year) that Beatrice would be forced to travel "Class B". See, she obviously wants the public to see her side of the story very badly, as she tells it often and at length. However, the public hears something like this, and yes I know most of us don't fly at that altitude finance-wise, but the public can't be expected to do anything but at best scratch its collective head at a remark like this.. Excerpts from the full ruling: LINK In his full ruling on the McCartney divorce, the judge was highly critical of Heather Mills's evidence. Mr Justice Bennett wrote:
"The husband’s evidence was, in my judgment, balanced. He expressed himself moderately though at times with justifiable irritation, if not anger. He was consistent, accurate and honest.
"But I regret to have to say I cannot say the same about the wife’s evidence. Having watched and listened to her give evidence, having studied the documents, and having given in her favour every allowance for the enormous strain she must have been under (and in conducting her own case) I am driven to the conclusion that much of her evidence, both written and oral, was not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid. Overall she was a less than impressive witness.".......... (more at the above link)

He dictated what she could or could not do. She thus seeks compensation for the loss of her career opportunity in that during their cohabitation and subsequent marriage she forewent a lucrative and successful career. She seeks an award commensurate with being the wife of, and the mother of the child of, an icon. She places great weight on the contributions she says she has made to counselling the husband’s children by his former marriage and to the husband’s professional career. She asserts that his assets are worth in excess of £800m and that she is entitled to share in the “marital acquest”. Finally, she asserts that throughout their marriage and after their separation the husband behaved in such a way that it would be inequitable to disregard and that his conduct should be reflected in the award.
what the hell was he doing?

I also didn't see anything about her having to keep quiet about anything that transpired during the marriage. (and she surely would be complaining about it if there were)
If she is indeed still free to talk, she has "earning potential" alright.

She's not finished yet: Heather heads back to court in bid to lift gagging order - as lawyer says she has suffered a 'prolonged hanging' By AMANDA PERTHEN 22nd March 2008 www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=542290&in_page_id=1773After an acrimonious legal battle that left her reputation in tatters – and failed to win her the £125million divorce payout she demanded – Heather Mills would be forgiven for never wanting to see the inside of a courtroom again. But the former glamour model wants to go back to the High Court, hoping to lift a gagging order that prevents her going public on her doomed marriage to Sir Paul McCartney. Ms Mills is furious at being vilified by the judge who accused her in court documents of being a "fantasist" who indulged in "make-believe" and "wholly exaggerated" the extent of her wealth before she met the former Beatle. Her lawyer says Mr Justice Bennett's damning 58-page judgment is like a "prolonged hanging" for Ms Mills – and says she will appeal to the same judge to allow details of her testimony to be released. Ms Mills will argue that a court order banning her from speaking about the proceedings, in which she won £24.3million, should be lifted because it leaves her with no right of reply. It is likely to spark another courtroom showdown with Sir Paul, as he could be called to give evidence to prevent the order being lifted. If Ms Mills were to be successful, it would also allow her to capitalise on lucrative book and interview deals to reveal her side of the turbulent four-year marriage. Ms Mills's solicitor David Rosen said: "Heather is very frustrated. She feels that it's very unfair that the judgment should be printed in full when she cannot defend herself. "She's planning to apply to lift the ban. It was damning enough that the judge made his judgment so clear and vividly – no one deserves that. It's like a prolonged hanging for her." The High Court proceedings were covered by a confidentiality agreement – strictly enforced with a court order – that prevented both Sir Paul and Ms Mills discussing any aspects of the case. But her extraordinary outburst outside court immediately after the case came dangerously close to breaching that confidentiality. Sir Paul, 65, kept silent but applied to have the judgment made public so the truth about the settlement could be revealed. If her application proved successful, Ms Mills would be free to disclose allegations about her marriage which she made inside the courtroom but which were not detailed in the judgment. Ms Mills, 40 – mother of Sir Paul's four-year-old daughter Beatrice – flew to America last night, where she hopes to rebuild her career in New York and Los Angeles. She is rumoured to have attracted serious bids to appear in three American TV shows and there is interest from magazines and a book publisher. Ms Mills will receive her financial settlement when the divorce is finalised in May. ... and she's still making the VIP fuss you'd expect By ANGELLA JOHNSON It was VIP treatment all the way for Heather Mills as she fled Britain last night for temporary sanctuary in America. With daughter Beatrice and a burly minder, she commandeered the children's playroom in the Virgin upper-class lounge at Heathrow, while several other parents with restless young children were prevented from entering. In skinny jeans and a black sleeveless silk top, and with her blonde hair scraped back in a ponytail, she sipped champagne and made calls on her mobile. At one point she demanded to speak to Virgin staff and four marched into the room and stood to attention. Two police officers were at the departure gate at Heathrow – which she was driven to in a motorised buggy. On the plane her minder, travelling in a £3,480 seat, kept an eye on Beatrice as she watched children's videos on her laptop – while Ms Mills took a 30-minute nap then enjoyed a free in-flight manicure.

Sisters are doin' it for themselves; "Heather – mum to Macca’s daughter Beatrice, four – is barred from discussing details of her divorce case or marriage under the terms of her court settlement. But she is hellbent on breaching her own privacy on the lucrative American tour. She first plans an April interview with CNN’s Larry King, where she will hold back details of the divorce battle. But she plans to follow up with a big-money chat on a show like Entertainment Tonight, so Fiona, 37, can detail the break-up. Heather, 40, is also shopping around for a US book deal to argue against the judge’s damning verdict. A US TV source said: “Heather is plotting an all-out assault on the States. Larry King doesn’t pay for interviews, so she’s keeping her powder dry for a big deal with a show like Entertainment Tonight. [glow=red,2,300]“This time she’ll have Fiona at her side, who isn’t bound by the confidentiality agreement and will give her full opinion about the marriage.”[/glow] One-legged Mucca has hired pitbull American lawyer Gloria Allred to broker TV deals. Allred, with a reputation as a crusading feminist lawyer, has already blasted the judge’s ruling and called Heather “courageous”. Meanwhile Mucca is still fuming after Lord Justice Benett said she gave “less than candid” evidence. In a statement to GMTV yesterday, she said: “Publishing this judgment is against the principle of the privacy expected within family courts. “This decision appears to have been taken with disregard for my human right to privacy.” Yet amazingly Mucca said she wanted the full transcript of the hearing made public.. Heather Mills booed and heckled as she appears as judge at Miss USA Pageantwww.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/showbiz/showbiznews.html?in_article_id=559429&in_page_id=1773A shocked Heather Mills was booed and jeered as she was introduced as a judge at the Miss USA 2008 Pageant. The former model – who has previously claimed that public opinion of her in the US was "99 per cent positive" – was visibly upset when part of the audience at the Planet Hollywood hotel in Las Vegas began to heckle as she took to the stage with hosts Donny and Marie Osmond. The live TV contest was Mills's first major public appearance since her £25 million divorce settlement from Sir Paul McCartney. It came just days after she launched an astonishing tirade against Sir Paul McCartney and "his three girlfriends" on GMTV, saying: "I wish all the girls the best of luck. Better them than me." "99 per cent positive - I've always wanted to live here but I've always said that I can't live here because I want to keep my daughter near her father," she added. After the contest Mills attempted to shrug off the heckling: "I really enjoyed myself. It was a great contest. If there was some negative reaction, what can you do? There will always be some people like that." She said. Mills was on a panel of ten judges on Donald Trump's Miss U.S.A beauty contest. She is staying at the five-star Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, where rooms cost up to £5,000 a night, courtesy of the programme. A spokesman for Miss USA refused to comment on the booing. He added: "We were pleased to have Heather participate on our panel."

www.nypost.com/seven/04152008/gossip/pagesix/heather_hissed_backstage_too_106545.htmHEATHER HISSED BACKSTAGE TOOApril 15, 2008 -- IT wasn't just the audience that hated Heather Mills at the Miss USA Pageant over the weekend - the show's producers couldn't stand Paul McCartney's one-legged ex-wife, either. Audience members loudly booed and hissed when Mills was introduced as a judge for the show at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Vegas. But the real problem came behind the scenes, where, for three weeks prior, Mills refused to sign a contract stating the show could be rebroadcast. "She flat out refused because of one line," said an insider. "They went back and forth rewriting and finally threatened to pull her from it altogether. She still wouldn't sign it because she wants to get paid if they resell the footage. Her ego is enormous, and it's getting bigger by the minute." The independent contractors who booked Mills promised they'd never work with the gold-digging former nudie model again, according to our insider. "She believed that if the show got high ratings, it would be because of her," said our source. "She treated this like she was starring in a big-budget movie." Mills even hunted down pageant owner Donald Trump at a dinner at Koi right before the show, hoping to "butter him up" and get his approval to be on air. "Heather was flirting with him, and she was really working it," said our source. "She was unprofessional, but he said, 'Let her [go] on anyway.' " Mills, one of 10 judges, eventually got her way when they adjusted the contract to suit her. She seemed unfazed by the audience's reaction to her during the live televised event and remarked that she was moving to the United States with her 4-year-old daughter, Beatrice. "In England, people don't like me," she said. "But I'm going to move to America, Los Angeles, hopefully . . . I'll be better off in the States." A few weeks back, Mills was spotted looking at a condo building going up on Jackson Square in Greenwich Village. After the show, she was spotted huddling with Paris Hilton's former publicist, Elliot Mintz, sparking rumors he may take her on as a client. "She's very cheap; she could never afford his price," quipped our source. Mills' representative, Michele Elyzabeth, declined comment.
