Don't you guys feel like this is going to come to a head soon?
Sir Paul buys Linda's tapes for 200 000 pounds! Personally I think Heather is a lying sack of shi-ite, and I just don't see Sir Paul as the wife beating type, though anything is possible. But the main thing is that I just can't believe Linda of all people would allow something like that to go on. It just doesn't sit well with me. So the question is.. if Paul didn't beat Linda.. what is on those tapes that he is trying so hard to hide?

...probably his controlling behavior which we all know he was possible of. A lot of the Beatle documentaries talk about how "bossy" Paul was towards the others.

Those are the tapes mentioned on the "split with Heather" thread, owned by a Mr. Cox. But, I hadn't heard he bought them, interesting development.

Bill doesn't strike me as a wifebeater type...but then there's alot about Bill we didn't know about.
I certainly don't think he'd raise a fist against Linda.
Maybe Heather brought out the side of Bill that drove him to do something more physical.
Or, she's full of "it"...
Now as for the tapes, if he bought them, maybe it had something to do with the Beatles split up, or maybe something to do with him replacing JPM.
Or...there's yet another side of Bill that she talked about and we don't know yet....

There was that line from "The Accidental Tourist" that I'll attempt to paraphrase here:
It's not about how much you love someone, it's about who you are when you are with them.
It's always wrong to react with violence, except in self defense but.. I can see someone needing the patience of a saint to deal with her every day.

Nobody else who was involved with him talked about his violence....Heather always seemed to be a b---h even before they married, when they were on Larry King. I thought she was a snippy snooty witch. Never liked her and these things doesn't help her "case". She struck me as a gold digging opportunist. IMHO

He was attracted to the challenge. Just an opinion.

Doc may be right. Also there's the age difference. Bill has always been a bit " vain". Having a wife 1/2 his age surely stroked his "ego".

Doesn't anyone remember the report of Paul/Faul/Bill and Heather having a really bad argument just before the wedding and Heather throwing her engagement ring out of a hotel window? Their fights started before the wedding. I, for one, was not surprised when they announced a divorce.
And Heather is not a gold-digger. In fact, it was Faul who saw her speak at a charity lunch and asked to be introduced to her. HE chased HER. He launched a vicious "Smear Heather" campaign when the divorce was happening and it hasn't stopped since. Heather is chiefly concerned with the safety and financial well-being of her daughter and continuing her charities.
