LINKDavies urges McCartney to go 'extreme'
The Kinks frontman Ray Davies is desperate to see Paul McCartney move away from middle-of-the-road music and produce something extreme.
The Waterloo Sunset rocker is convinced the former Beatle is hiding behind a smokescreen and should either strip down his sound or take it to the other end of the spectrum and collaborate with Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Davies says: "I'd like to hear him stripped down musically. Then maybe more of him could come through.
"I still think there's a camouflage there and I don't know whether that's intuitive or planned. I'd like to hear him sound like what he is, one of our great folk heroes. Let's try to restore that.
"Or he should work with Andrew Lloyd Webber. I really think that is the marriage I am waiting for. Get more real or go that far." Is he saying pare down the production, or is he saying to rock harder, and get away from the pretty chords and stuff? Both maybe? Certainly a direction he can go and has gone before.

Here is a new one from Bills site:
Macca Attends Thomas Dolby concert at Canyon Club in Agoura Hills
I was honoured by a visit last night (Thursday April 14)from Paul McCartney who knows Colin Hay and has a house in Malibu not far from the Canyon Club. I'd heard he was going to be there--didn't really believe it--but sure enough, after the show I walked into the backstage VIP area and there he was.
I guess I must have cast my eyes around for an old guy but Paul looks fantastic. Mick Jagger could be his grandad! It was a bit weird because I don't think he realized I was the guy he just saw play a concert. But someone else told me they saw him grooving and singing along to 'Hyperactive'.
I told Paul I saw him play live in 1963 (aged 5) at the Beatles' Christmas Concert at Hammersmith Odeon in London.
"It's quite possible," he said, as if he had no recollection of the gig ever happening. "How curious," I thought. Almost any serious Beatles fan knows about that gig, as the poster is so famous; Freddie and the Dreamers, the Dave Clark Five, etc. Yet Paul doesn't remember.
That's a pretty good lesson for me. Fans often cite gigs or obscure records I made that I've forgotten all about. An ex-Beatle singing along to my set: it doesn't get much better than that.

Of course he does not remember he was not there! ;D

Well, yeah, I mean, I see what you mean; it is just that in fact, it is easy to forget gigs and venues when only, say, 5 or 10 years has gone by. I have had people have to jog my memory about a gig, I couldn't believe it or didn't remember, and blam, they have a picture of me standing there off stage drinking a Dr. Pepper or such. Of course..........maybe that wasn't me........oh my gosh.......what I do........I musn't get frustrated or panic. Just keep typing.......hold it together........... oh no! (click inside screen to play a delightful little movie) Well, at least I constantly regenerate. I said delightful, didn't I? Well, delightful if you like Tim Burton......

Thanks, lenmac ! It seems that Sir Paul still thrives in the spotlight. Now he can be honest & say that he doesn't remember performing at a venue. People will just attribute it to his age.

LINKMcCartney: 'I've not had plastic surgery'
20/05/2006 - 10:27:03
Paul McCartney insists he has never undergone cosmetic surgery, and attacks a Californian plastic surgeon who claims he has done in a new book.
The former Beatle was baffled by the claims - made by an unnamed physician - and had to restrain himself from confronting the surgeon.
McCartney writes on his estranged wife Heather Mills McCartney's website: "One rumour is that Heather has made me have plastic surgery. Now the truth, honest guvner, is that I haven't had any done, but in flicking through a magazine recently I came across someone who appeared to know better!
"An LA plastic surgeon had a book out in which he claims I've had some work done! OK, now I know it's not true, but this guy knows better. How? The proof, he reckons, is that…..wait for it……my ear lobes are too low!…..and, says he, you know how you can tell people have had plastic surgery?……They deny it!!!
"At first I felt like entering into a long debate with him about it, but it's so hilarious that I decided not to bother."

If you attempt to download the movie, be prepared for a long long wait, it goes at dial-up speed. A Saturnian Musical Celebration to Honor Paul McCartney
PRESS RELEASE Date Released: Sunday, June 18, 2006 Source: Space Science Institute
On the occasion of Paul McCartney's landmark 64th birthday, the Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Operations (CICLOPS) is releasing today an 8-minute movie as a birthday gift to the former Beatle. Sixty-four of the most dramatic and spectacular images taken by NASA's Cassini spacecraft, including one mosaic from the European-built Huygens probe of the surface of Titan, are composed together in a cinematic voyage through the Saturn system and put to the music of the Beatles.
"In their creation of new musical forms and directions, and in their expansive vision of the art of popular music, the Beatles reached heights of achievement in their brief time together that nobody has been able to surpass", said Carolyn Porco, Cassini imaging team leader and the producer/director of the movie. "And being a major element in that incredible story makes Paul McCartney, in my mind, one of planet Earth's brightest stars. It makes me very happy to be able to celebrate him in this way. I hope he likes our movie."
The movie `Sixty-four Sights from Saturn' is available today on the home page of ciclops.org. High resolution versions may be obtained by emailing cpcomments@ciclops.org.
The Cassini imaging operations center (CICLOPS) is based at the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colo.

Former BEATLE SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY is planning on taking a holiday on the Isle Of Wight - in a caravan. The multi-millionaire has received an invitation to visit from local councillors on the island, located off the south coast of England. British radio presenter LAUREN LAVERNE, who recently interviewed the 64-year-old, says, "I took him some brochures for cottages to rent and he actually chose one. He selected a static caravan, so I'm not sure what that reveals about him."LINKCaravan I guess is the same as trailer/camper would be here in the US. Just funny that someone would be wondering about the meaning of his choice of caravan.

Beatle Bill at the Isle of Wight
He's probably teaming up with David Icke (another Nazi NWO Shill) to plan our armageddon. Thank God you and me are uninfluenced good people full of love who care about all life..and thru celebrating life defeating the destructive evil plots. We're not so stupid that we become their unwitting tools...spreading fear , paranoia, hopelesness..like a darker more hopeless brother of FIXnews.
Let's have a drink to celebrate our victory..the evil guys have already lost..including their opponents whom they deluded into fighting them..so becoming them..and going down in the flames of their own fear and paranoia..
It's time to celebrate..all the Illumishills will fall into the sea.
When I saw the Tiny Tim footage on the Isle of Wight movie...I already knew it..that island awakens the darkest satanic urges in anyone.
Thank god we are rising above the vicious cycle of paranoia, accusing, and pointing out evildoers without taking our own behaviour into account.
This mystery will be solved thru Love and Understanding...fear and paranoia has always led to more fear and paranoia...an entropic vicious cycle leading to the total deterioration of our world as we can see when we look outside and are spellbound by the illusions we are fed. Whether you watch FIX news all day or Alex Jones and other researchers you are being duped into a fearbased existence eating away every moment of what life could be.
The answers are inside..outside is only more fear and hate mongering...Mainstream and alternative newssources all have the same effect to scare you. Does it differ if you are afraid of Bin Laden or (a bit more truthfull but still not on the mark) your own government?
What we are afraid of is of our own power to stand up and create something beautiful..while the empire sinks like it will. When we play along with the paranoia/fear game we'll go down with them.
Have you ever thought about the notion that those Illumi leaders are the most extreme conspiracytheorists..they have a valid reason to believe everyone is out to get them.
Remember we don't have to have our sterile image flashed on the media every few minutes to feel important...shadows clutching at straws. None of them evildoers has the stamina that someone who loves reality has...we already won but the ghouls are still in denial. We are real...they are not
All Love Jan

You have a very upbeat & interesting view of things, Jan. I also try to be upbeat all the time. I have to admit, that it's an uphill climb. Especially when those around you are very negative in their thoughts & actions !

Hello, remember the lyrics in when I'm 64....? "We can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wight if it's not too dear"... Not too dear for you Sir Bill..with all the money you've earned living off the JPM image.... He's "64" and he's renting a cottage in the Isle of Wight....oh how cute Paulie is in his golden years! Cyclops..isn't that the giant with one eye? The one all seeing eye, symbolic of the back of the One Dollar Bill? The symbol of freemasons? Oh how quaint...the all seeing eye on the giant cyclops...mythological beast.... Oh, when I think of caravan, I think of a group of nomads travelling a distance and setting up a camp. Does Bill take retreat with an entourage? Is there some old rock band with the name Caravan? Is there some old rock song with mention of caravan? Oh, this sounds like something interesting and creative to think back on. And I am also reminded that one of Jimi Hendrix' last concert appearances was at the Isle of Wight festival...Perhaps a group named Caravan played there.... Bill, you are a clever boy.

Paul to release new classical work
Paul McCartney's next classical work to be released will be "Ecce Cor Meum." It will be released in the UK on EMI Classics, September 4 and in the U.S. on September 26. (thanks to Matt Hurwitz)
WEBMASTER'S NOTE: "Ecce Cor Meum" was first performed live November 10, 2001. The oratorio composed by Paul for Oxford university's Magdalen College Choir was performed at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford, England.
Following a visit to the college with his late wife Linda in 1997, McCartney agreed to compose a piece to celebrate the college's new chapel.
The theme of the work is finding love within music and was conducted by Bill Ives accompanied by a 23-piece orchestra and the Magdalen College Choir.
"Ecce Cor Meum" is Latin for "Behold My Heart" which is the motto on Sir Paul's coat of arms.

On Abbey Road with Sir Paul On a June family vacation in London, Tom Zimbrick took his three kids, ages 10, 15 and 17, to Abbey Road for a photo to replicate the famous Beatles; album cover of the band walking in the crosswalk. Zimbrick, CEO of Zimbrick Motors, says his wife, Marykay Zimbrick, took the photo while he watched traffic, which was brisk. As his kids were putting their shoes back on, he looked up and saw a man coming toward them on a cell phone. The man leaned over to his daughter and said, "It's a pretty cool picture, isn't it?" Then his wife looked over and blurted out, "Holy smoke, Sir Paul McCartney!" It was. Tom wished him a happy upcoming birthday, which started a friendly conversation. And when he asked McCartney if he'd pose for a photo with his family, Zimbrick says he replied, "I usually don't do this, but why not." "It was pure coincidence and so much fun," says Zimbrick. "A great family moment." Nice of him to do that

CEO of Zimbrick Motors eh..? Yes, you have heard of the Zimbrick 66, it's a faux car that replaced the Mustang. It took alot of craftsmen, all the king's machinists, and all the king's metal workers could put together a replacement car....
Don't mind me.
The idea someone used the term "holy smoke" is pretty funny to me.
