i have had the pleasure of making some wonderful friends here and will miss you all but i have to depart for a while. My wedding is coming up in a little over two months and on top of that mike and i just found out that his ex wife has a brain tumor that is inoperable. that means that we are now in the process of making legal plans to make sure his son will not be allowed to be shipped off to china with his ex wifes family but will be here with us instead. as you can imagine things are taking their toll and I'm in a different place than i was a few years ago when this forum was born. it was important for me to acknowledge each and every one of you who have made an impact on my life and made me think outside the box. i do hope to be back some time in the future but for now, stay safe and much love
Donna

Well I hope it works out. The son belongs with his father, no question. It's been great making friends like you, one of the benefits of this little hobby. (and then some new ones) Take care of yourself!

Whew! Best wishes. But do hurry back asap, because this little mystery seems to be about ready to shake things up a bit too.

I hope it will end as fast as it can and with the right decision (that your husband's son will be with his father).

thanks for the well wishes.
a little update, Mike's ex wife found a great doctor in boston. not only did she have the surgery but came through it with flying colours. she is now back home and we are sharing custody of the little one with her until she is back to her old self.
last week (dec 22nd) mike and i tied the knot in a little ceremony right here at our home in central vermont. a 2000 year old celtic ceremony, complete with kilts, loving cup and handfasting.
so now i'm through the tough part, try to get rid of me now ;D
