Hi Everyone,
I was tickled to come across your forum. I enjoy your perceptive and witty posts. Several years ago I spent a little time on TKIN, but the conspiracy theories, harsh judgments, and emotional projections were not my cup of tea! A few months ago I got curious and visited them again, only to discover that they had gone down an incomprehensible (to me) path. So I looked for a saner, kinder discussion and found you.
I’m a music lover but not a Beatlephile by any stretch of the imagination. I did love them in the sixties (like every other teen-age girl), and I did know that rather suddenly Paul was NOT himself. The others changed too, of course—different hair, different weights, different clothes, different interests—but Paul had a new face, a new age, and a new height! I’m a visual artist and I truly did notice those things back then. I let it go, though—my own life was bewildering enough.
So...it’s a fascinating mystery. Maybe I'll work up the courage to chime in once in awhile.
All the best, Mandy

Welcome Mandy, always interesting to hear how someone saw things back in the day, and what they think after taking a look at it again from the perspective of what we discuss here. Time to rethink a lot of things you heard/saw/felt back then?

So...it’s a fascinating mystery. Maybe I'll work up the courage to chime in once in awhile. All the best, Mandy WELCOME MANDY! And there's no courage required.... just jump right in! You were apparently a little more observant than this visual artist was back in the day. I guess I was a little wrapped up in my full-time hippy activities, but like the rest of the masses, I never noticed a thing. The bright clothes & different hair worked perfectly at distracting me from what was really goin' on. Of course... at the time... a simple little shiney object woulda distracted me

Several years ago I spent a little time on TKIN....l. A few months ago I got curious and visited them again, only to discover that they had gone down an incomprehensible (to me) path. So I looked for a saner, kinder discussion and found you. First of all, Welcome Mandy! The incomprehensible path you speak of at TKIN is well known by the people at this forum, as well as those who frequent that site. Still, in fairness, I would tell you there are "flowers in the dirt" to be found in both places. Oh, wait! I stole somebody else's line! ;D Um, there are "rubies in the dust" at both places? Sparkling gems, at the very least. Shining stars. You'd be amazed, if I dare say so. Still, choose the forum that suits you best. As for a saner, kinder discussion: all well and good, but if the topic of PID/PWR itself is by Nature a bit insane, well...What's a Mother to do? I'm just trying to help you understand that there are a lot of "crazy" clues lying around. "Asylum Records" "Goin' off the rails on The Crazy Train." (OZzy, of course.) What's the "Dark Side of the Moon"? If moonlight and romance are the bright side of the moon, isn't it also true that the dark side of the moon is LUNA-cy and insanity? Well have a nice trip. Glad you're on board. Best wishes. Love ya.

Thanks for the nice welcomes!
Eyesbleed, I understand! I got distracted by a few bright, shiny objects myself. But I was no doubt more attached to Paul’s appearance than you were, being a girl and all.
And 4000holes, you’re right. I too appreciate the lunacy of the topic, and of the shining stars (and wonderful writers) who are drawn to it.
:-)

Mandy, glad to have you girl ! I have to agree with you concerning TKIN. I gave up on them when they started making stuff up to suit themselves. That was not my cup of tea either.
