.... although I've already posted a few times elsewhere.
Hello! It's a pleasure being amongst the people who's research I've admired for so long. I've been a lurker to the PID sites for years without ever posting. Now I'm getting brave!
I'm semi-retired from the music business, and I'd like to leave it at that for now. I've been ummmm....... "intrigued" with the subject of PID/PWR since the news broke in 69 when I was a kid. A few years later, when I was still a kid, I found the famous "Paul's Death Hoax" magazine and began searching album covers, and playing records backward with my finger to hear for myself. I took notice of the fact that Paul, when interviewed at his farm in Scotland about the matter, never bothered to say outright that he is the same person as pre-November 1966 - although for years it seems that I always heard that his death date was in late 65. They would always include certain things from "Revolver", and "Rubber Soul" as clues.
Fast forward to the year of Paul's pot bust in Japan. It was indeed reported in SOME paper SOMEwhere (I did read it with my own eyes and FREAKED) that Paul was detained longer than he would've been because his fingerprints didn't match those on file belonging to Paul McCartney. It was stated like it was just a minor glitch in the system that was soon cleared up, and back home he went. No mention was made of PID, and no one else ever breathed a word about the subject until the internet comes along.
And here we are today.
I have one clue of my own that I'll leave y'all with.
I saw Paul/Bill in Cincinatti, OH in the early 90's. I was watching through binoculars, and it sure looked like Faul was really playing, so I didn't study him too much. However I was mostly fixed on Linda, who I don't remember coming CLOSE to touching the keyboards that she stood in front of!
During a solo acoustic rendition of "Yesterday" Faul suddenly forgets the second, or third verse, subtituting instead:
"Suddenly......... (pause as he looks up in thought and sings)...da da da da da da da da daaaaaaaa........"
About 80,000 people laughed their asses off at ol' Bill!
