Split from: The+rotten+apple+2Can we please change the "the rotten apple 2" to The Rotten Apple ? or even make an subforum so that everything that relates to iamaphoney can fit in there (there are some new topics in this Clues section) if you know what i mean Changing the name of the post doesn't change all the posts that follow, unfortunately. As for the separate board, I could make a sub-board under "clues", so what is everyone's opinion on that?

Personally, after four years of this, I hoping we can get some closure PDQ and the freeform style as of late won't really matter. Then we can have a big giant family picnic, not in Chicago, but at JO JO's, and say our hellos and goodbyes.

But hey.. maybe this is the real safe place, perhaps Chicago is a code word?

Why are you guys so down on Chicago? Think about it, a large city, tons and tons of people, none of which are prepared for anything more than a snowstorm. In the event of a major cataclysm, what could be safer?

I'd love to spend some time in Chicago, April - July 2008 sounds great!
Shame I can't get there, but I did ask Steven Christ to help me help myself but he can't, though I did think if he truly was some kind of messiah then he may show me a way of getting there, yet I've heard nothing as of yet so I'm doomed it seems

I'm not worried. I grew up right outside Chicago and musta drank alot of water. Vicariously, I am there now , as it is a part of my physical "chemistry". ;D Hope that's enough!

Plastic Paul, you crack me up !!!! ;D
I'm with iameye. I would love for all of this to come to a head and beyond, so that we all can go on with our lives. Having one last victory bash sounds great. As long as it's being held on the East Coast of these United States, I will be there with bells on !!! ;D

Hey everyone,
I have been lurking and really enjoying the associative thinking. Some great minds here, and to me that transcends the PID/PIA theme.
But, It's not like me to keep my mouth shut so here's what I have been thinking (and forgive me if you already have heard this).
1) RAM = WAR (which also goes back to the Imagine peace tower or is a war tower?) 2) There was some reference to the "Blue" something. To me Faul must be Blue and Paul Red because the Beatles "Blue" LP featured Faul and the Beatles "Red" featured Paul. In other words, Faul's Beatle ouevre can be associated with the color blue. 3) IMHO: Faul looks and sounds completely different from Paul. I have watched a lot of pre-1966 videos (not as much as you <grin>) but I am a musician, and I think Paul played bass differently. 4) I am a writer and I have taught writing, and again IMHO "Maybe I'm Amazed," while a great song (A GEAT SONG!) it is not the same guy who wrote "We Can Work It Out," and "Yesterday." 5) I never liked Heather Mills until I saw that video - she seems real to me 6) But the image and sound I can't get out of my head is Yoko with that sick laugh when she and John are in Bed in the Imagine video.
And here's my question: I am a friend of Bernard Purdie and I have recorded and played live with him many times (oops I should be put this in another area...oh well...too lazy :}})
In any case, to me Purdie sounds like the drummer on those records, and when I try to find video of Ringo actually playing drums with a second drummer, it's pretty rare. There are things Purdie can play that Ringo can't play. That's Purdie on Rock Steady by Aretha and on Home at Last by Steely Dan. It'd be scary to hear Ringo try that, but that's not the point of course. My point is that if you were going to hire a hotshot like Purdie was back then to play drums who would you get to create and produce the music? Beatle PHIL SPECTOR perhaps? Of course I am referring to the imagine video again...the scene with the 3 Beatles, Yoke and Phil.
Oh and Billy Preston and Purdie played together in the King Curtis band. Before he was murdered, King Curtis was working with John Lennon. Who knows what that would have turned into...
Anyway, thanks so much for the great reading material :}}
Love, DrDan
btw, I didn't really bury Paul, that was "Pretty" Purdie <grin>

The Rotten Apple series introduces a wide variety of tangential topics that invite discussion and scrutiny. I suppose that those topics can spawn their own thread within the clues forum, but it might be "neater" to create a Rotten Apple Tangent Topic forum.

Creating a sub-board seems to be winning, I'll let it sit a few more days.

i don't think that that matters, because there are like 15 people discussing iamaphoney and it's surroundings, so other people don't even gonna bother to vote but of course you decide

Well I know who voted, but not what, that's a secret to me as well. So, I think there may be some not represented, but probably not gonna change the result, realistically.
So, since you are the one that proposed it, which threads would you suggest go into the sub board? The main one and all offshoots? I tend towards preferring the status quo myself, but as I'm not much of a contributor to RA or have as much of an interest as you and the others, I'm in the "don't care" camp for the most part.

Well, i think it's best to discuss that with each other Current: General Board Discuss anything related to the replacement of Paul. Clues Clues in Lyrics, Albums, Movies...... The Replacement Discuss anything related to the person that replaced Paul. Related Pix and Links photos or links that are PID related (not specifically of the person who replaced Paul) Moderator: Admin 1. This; doesn't cover video's 2. The general board, and The Replacement board look a lot like each other.. and the description is in fact the same 3. if we are gonna change some things: 1: paul replacement board 2: video's board 3: pictures and links 4: clues pooh.. i really find this so hard, just because iamphoney is about clues, but it is also about replacing paul and so many other things, that i don't know

Shouldn't be in general discussion rather than "Clues"? "Clues" should be focused on work produced by The Beatles / BEATLES, their alumni and those who were their close associates circa 1967 ... I don't know if "Clues" is the best term anyway, I digress... anyway it should be in the General forum

2. The general board, and The Replacement board look a lot like each other.. and the description is in fact the same
The sxecond is supposed to be focused on discussion of the man "Faul" who lives as PAUL MCCARTNEY.... the descriptions aren't very clear I'll grant you that...

This is turning into way too much work..
General is just about anything..
Clues is pretty much how Total described it, information that was left behind by the Beatles and those connected by two or perhaps three degrees of separation.. So.. now that you mention it, IAAP doesn't really qualify now that I think about it. Thing about "clues", it is where you make your post if general is well..too general.
If the key subject matter is Faul/Sir Paul/William/whatever, then the "Replacement" section is appropriate. (This one should be the most obvious IMO)
Related Pics and Links is the multimedia heavy section, as it would make it easier to find that material if it was by itself. The "Links" part means if the link is not of general interest, but is largely about a PWR/PID topic, it should go there.
There are sections that overlap a bit, for example Off Topic may have topics that would go in the other "Links" board and vice-versa.
Anyway, it seems like a good idea that if there is to be a RA sub-board, it makes sense to make it a sub of General.
I'll change that, Youtube wasn't invented yet when I created that section..

I 'd think "clues"! They may be his own, but they are clues none-the-less, and often as valid as any the Beatles left, imo, since they relate.

But before this gets too long and drawn out, the question is whether RA gets a sub-board, that was the idea of the poll. My opinion is that TI makes a valid point about the purpose of the clues board, the RA videos are not clues produced by the Beatles or associates, as far as we know anyway. However, it's been in Clues for so long at this point, and so it would perhaps be unfair to send it somewhere where it might be hard to find, as a sub of clues it would be mostly where its followers would expect it.
