The Magic Mushroom and the Stargate: “I am the Snake that giveth Knowledge & Delight and bright glory, and stir the hearts of men with drunkenness. To worship me take wine and strange drugs whereof I will tell my prophet, & be drunk thereof!” Aleister Crowley-The Book of the Law mushroom-atlantis.blogspot.com/"Plato's account of the layout of Atlantis claims it was constructed by Poseidon in concentric circles of water and land with a large canal extending from the central land element through the circular zones. This “bull's eye” design, which is sometimes identified with a C (because of the canal cutting the circle), can be seen as a symbol for Atlantis. William Henry says in his lectures, which you can view online at Google Video, that the bull's eye symbol is the two dimensional representation of the three dimensional phenomena of the wormhole or stargate. Although they may seem more the stuff of science fiction than science fact, physicists first dreamed up the idea of wormholes. In 1935, Albert Einstein and Nathan Rosen realized that general relativity allows the existence of “bridges,” originally called Einstein-Rosen bridges but now known as wormholes. These space-time tubes act as shortcuts connecting distant regions of space-time. By journeying through a wormhole, you could travel between the two regions faster than a beam of light would be able to if it moved through normal space-time. As with any mode of faster-than-light travel, wormholes offer the possibility of time travel. " Until recently, theorists believed that wormholes could exist for only an instant of time, and anyone trying to pass through would run into a singularity. But more recent calculations show that a truly advanced civilization might be able to make wormholes work. By using something physicists call “exotic matter,” which has a negative energy, the civilization could prevent a wormhole from collapsing on itself. The stuff of science fiction, to be sure. But perhaps some day in the far future, it could also turn into science fact."http://www.pbs.org/wnet/hawking/strange/html/wormhole.html the Silver Cup

Fascinating set of premises, iameye. Funny, my brother and I got into a lite weight discussioin about wormholes the other day. Something was on TV about it last night. I guess the topic is meant to surface to me right now.
The idea of time travel is so provocative, interesting.
To be able to "see" first hand a glimpse of the past, ancient times, remote history, how people lived and worked, spoke, acted, would be fascinating.

Well certainly the pneumatic legs supporting the platform on which the, uh, "face" and its support unit sits are reminiscent of heiroglyphic Egyptian dancers. And no one who owns a crystal ball (like me ) could fail to see the similarities of the face and support unit to a crystal ball and its base support structure. I wonder if there are any overt PID clues in 2001.

Doc, have a look at this thread: invanddis.proboards29.com/index.cgi?board=members1&action=display&thread=1193262803Also an amazon search of Steven Gibbs. I bought this book, a light intro to this man who claims to have built time machines and used them to travel.. OK, very out there, but fascinating reading nevertheless. There are some rough diagrams/descriptions of building some devices, but the question you would have to ask yourself would be: Would you be more disappointed if they didn't work, or if they DID?

www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=112083"My name is Cheryll Jones, former news anchor at CNN. I have a news alert I think you, as a member of fourth estate in these very troubled times, will appreciate. Think of it as a “heads up” on what might become one of the most important stories of the coming months. At 9:00 AM, Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at the National Press Club in Washington DC, The Enterprise Mission – a private research and public policy group – will hold a press briefing in the NPC Zenger Room. The subject: Why is NASA Determined to Launch Space Shuttle “Discovery” October 23rd, Despite NASA Engineering and Safety Center Warnings NOT to Launch? Has NASA Learned NOTHING from the Previous Schedule-Driven Disasters of Challenger and Columbia? Are Classified NASA Lunar Findings Secretly Pressuring the Aging Shuttle Program to Completion by 2010, to Make Way for “Constellation” -- and the New “Space Race” to the Moon? Japan is currently in lunar orbit with the most sophisticated lunar mission since Apollo. China is about to launch a major unmanned lunar mission, on October 24th. In April, 2008 India will launch its first comprehensive unmanned lunar mission. And, Russia recently announced its own ambitious lunar plans -- for not only sending cosmonauts to the Moon by 2025, but establishment of a permanent moonbase soon after. All this on the heels of President George W. Bush’s own “Vision for Space Exploration” (VSE) – his sudden decision to “return Americans to manned lunar exploration” … made inexplicably, in the middle of his war." www.enterprisemission.com/NPC2007.htmNASA Dismisses Former Apollo Photo and Data Manager from JPL Educational Program Missing Apollo Data to be Shown at National Press Club Briefing Today, Oct. 30, 2007 Dr. Ken Johnston, former Manager of the Data and Photo Control Department at NASA’s Lunar Receiving Laboratory during NASA’s manned Apollo Lunar Program, was abruptly terminated Tuesday morning, October 23rd, from JPL’s prestigious “Solar System Ambassador” (SSA) Program. All evidence of Dr. Johnston’s exemplary 4-year participation in the NASA outreach effort to “communicate the importance of NASA aerospace programs to the public around the world” has been scrubbed from the official JPL SSA website, without formal notification of Dr. Johnston as to cause. Johnston is a key participant in today's Enterprise Mission press briefing at the National Press Club in Washington, DC (Zenger Room, 9:00 AM). At that time, Johnston will reveal how NASA ordered him to destroy key Apollo lunar images and data more than 40 years ago, rather than allow them to be preserved for academic and public study."

"As the MOON is associated with the dampness and dews of night, an ancient and widespread myth identified her with the goddess of water. Moreover, in spite of the expostulations of the learned, the common people the world over persist in attributing to her a marked influence on the rains. Whether false or true, this familiar opinion is of great antiquity, and was decidedly approved. by the Indians, who were all, in the words of an old author, (great observers of the weather by the moon.' They looked upon her, not only as forewarning them by her appearance of the approach of rains and fogs, but as being their actual cause. Isis, her Egyptian title, literally means moisture; Ataensic, whom the Hurons said was the moon, is derived from the word for water; and Citatli and Atl, moon and water, are constantly confounded in Aztec theology."
One of the gods of the Dakotahs was "Unk-ta-he (god of the water). The Dakotahs say that this god and its associates are seen in their dreams. It is the master-spirit of all their juggling and superstitious belief, From it the medicine men obtain their supernatural powers, and a great part of their religion springs from this god."

What does L-seven mean? (Wooly Bully lyric) isn't there an all girl band named L-seven too? My findings on L7 - It has previously been used used to signify a square. It was adopted by the beat generation, as in -- "he's L7, daddi-o" --- to portray someone as being old and stuffy. It's what directors do when framing a shot, they make "L7" with their fingers and hands. But I'm sure it must have other magical meanings. Oops just spotted the tail end of iameye's hilton post.

"The new Italian-made "Harmony" docking module has been attached to the International Space Station by the spacewalking astronaut crew of space shuttle Discovery STS-120 and the crew members of ISS Expedition 16. The addition of the Harmony Node-2 module sets the stage for the arrival of new research laboratories from the European Space Agency and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency during upcoming shuttle missions. Discovery's two-week construction mission is considered one of most difficult in the nearly-27 year history of the U.S. space shuttle program set to end in 2010." spaceports.blogspot.com/2007/10/harmony-attached-to-space-station.htmlsn1987 "We just wanted to welcome the Harmony module on board the international space station," Whitson said. "It's not in its final location, but we opened the hatch to enter and we wanted to acknowledge the process and christen the Harmony module itself. We think Harmony is a very good name for this module because it represents the culmination of a lot of international partner work and will allow additional international partner modules to be added on." www.spaceflightnow.com/shuttle/sts120/071027fd5/index.html

Do you know of any other spaceships that may have been called 'discovery'....? ; ;D The similarity to the name 'ISIS' is interesting to....the goddess of the moon/fertility and such an integral part of the 'sirius' mythology. We know how NASA love their space rituals. All that is missing is the 'I'/'eye'....or is that in the sky already? Alternatively....just how much of the 'I SS' realtes to Nasa's demi-god Von Braun formerly of the " SS''. Just some things to ponder.
