www.streamload.com/eccopurda/monoview1.jpgwww.streamload.com/eccopurda/monopepperview2.jpg(warning to those with Dial up. Large files) (JoJo, please work your magik with these) If you read the thread regarding the mono "Magical Mystery Tour" LP, JoJo mentions that someone claiming to be a former astronaut, whose first name happened to be William, posted on a George Martin forum that when he viewed the Pepper album under a black light, something strange happened. He wanted to know if anyone else had this experience. We do not know if he ever got an answer either way. but thanks to JoJo and the kind elderly woman who gave me mono LP, I am thrilled to announce that it is true, and it is a sight to behold! Please keep in mind that this is very difficult to reproduce here, but you should get the general idea. The richness of the color and the detail are amazing. Now, they could have put a much more exciting image on there. Why marble? If someone walked into the room and saw this without knowing the story, they would probably say "why is that green marble disk glowing?" It looks so authentic! It only works on the mono pressing, the one that John encouraged listeners to get... I I will be applying a glass onion and the mirror to it asap. I'll also try to figure out a better way to capture the image. Looking foward to your theories, fellow Truth Seekers!

Try spinning the record at different speeds and see if it makes any patterns or pictures under UV light in motion.

Try spinning the record at different speeds and see if it makes any patterns or pictures under UV light in motion. Great idea! I agree . I have a Swiss made audiofile table and it only has two speeds, and I can't really mess with it because it is sensitive. I did try the two speeds though, and didn't get any results. That's not to say there is nothing there.

The gentleman who posted on the GM forum really was an astronaut. And the color is green, like the moon. I think perhaps that the good Dr. was involved in it's creation.

Yes, you may be right about the astronaut.. Now, here are your pics: I took the liberty of boosting the brightness and contrast, I think a face or two shows up: Well, I have to tell you Mysteryboy, I have been wishing to have a look at this for a long long time, thought maybe the astronaut had the only copy or something. Thank You!!

Just a thought, but maybe spinning the disk at revolutions per minute?

Interesting concept Jojo: could there be speed instruction number hints in other places as possibly we learn from the photo above of the Red Rose Speedway ...?
RPM 9? 28 Image Fluoresces? When [this album] plays at 64?

I just remembered that I have another 'turnstile' that has 16 and 78 rpm The four speeds were the norm on tables during that era. The first, most obvious image using the mirror is the face of a woman looking right at me. If that anonymous writer who claimed that LITSWD was the most important song is legit, then it might mean that once you find her, you are on the right track and continue that method. "...Follow her..." The line about the train could be suggestion the viewing it as it's spinning method. Will try at all four speeds. Thanks , all.

I say this every now and then, but this almost seems as though things are falling half into place!
Potentially mindblowing!

"Cellophane flowers [fluoresces] of [what we observe] yellow and green/ towering over your head [unless you comprend the meanings so they don't go over your head] / Look for the girl with the sun [ultraviolet light] in her eyes / ... girl with kaleidoscope eyes [kaleidoscope effects of the moving overlay visuals hidden in the cover (and fluorescent disc)] images with plasticene [LP vinyl] porters with looking-glass ties ... ""Loose "HE" in the sky [above the earth, in space, where UV light is not being blocked] with diamonds" ---diamond needle of the phonograph that could turn you on as it's spinning ... The cover and often the style of the songs suggest an old-fashioned 78 or 16 speed period, like the kitschy black and white vaudeville/ movie actors poster collage -with the Beatles posing in front -cover of "Beatles for Sale" that probably originated this aspect of the cover of Sgt. Pepper.

In the very least, this is turning into a very interesting thread. For awhile there, I was trying to make sense of the song LITSWD as directions as to where Paul was murdered, or where his body was found. I didn't have much luck, but it kept me busy

I will try to update soon. Just wanted to say that I had the thought that Beatles not only invented the Picture Disk, but the Invisible Picture Disk as well. And thanks again...

Awaiting your report mysteryboy ... Maybe I've been spending too mu(n)ch time inspecting the back cover of Abbey Road, but I see something suggesting "The Scream" face directly front and center on the disc in the photo above (and it fits with the Lennon "aah" of "A Day in the Life").
Hmmm ... John and Yoko did choose to get "Primal Scream" therapy ...

John and Yoko practiced alot of strange mystical things...
I like the idea of the meaning of LITSWD as a kaliedoscope theory
Does anyone remember how a kaliedscope has mirrors in it? Perhaps the mirroring was done by JOhn looking at the set up for Sgt Pepper cover with a kaliedscope in his hand....
Maybe JoJo needs to make one for his Sgt. Pepper research....Not just one mirror, but holding two mirrors together, at angles, forming images. This makes it more complicated, because of using the correct angles, at the right places and maybe there's even more to it than just a single mirror image...
JoJo, are up for that challenge?

Heh, I'm willing to try just about anything, but I had a wild thought..
What if you indeed needed to look at the cover with literally..a kaliedoscope? I remember those tubes you would hold up to your eye, and turn the other end of the tube causing colored pieces of glass or plastic at the end to form these psychedelic patterns. What if you had one that was transparent, giving that effect to whatever you looked at through it? Kaliedoscope eyes indeed!
Worth a try, if such a thing exists.

"...CELLOPHANE wrappers of yellow and green (those 3D/holograhic glasses that sometimes come with magazines and movies) towering (around your head) over your head..."
Those 3D glasses are usually made from colored cellophane. Usually one side is red and the other green, and red and blue . As I said in the other 'mono' Pepper thread a few weeks back, the front looks like it is something that would come alive using those 3d computer generated relief maps. Perhaps using the cellophane will do the trick, and at the very least it will cause certain parts of the cover to really stand out. I would try red and blue, and red and yellow, and red and green. I have a pair somewhere around here and will try it with both the luminescent LP and the cover. Regarding the glowing vinyl: Just real briefly: it has sections that appear to be scetches, engravements, almost like a llithograph. There is a 3D quality to it . And sometines you are looking through a fog (open LA?) and there are parts that seem like you are looking under water-others where you are looking down at would looks like a sea shore. I'd almost forgot about "fixing a hole in the ocean. And the two sides have different images from each other.
Something that any of us could do is find some colored cellaphane and start exploring the cover of Pepper and the comic in Mystery Tour. Also try it with the black and white dinner shot. Speaking of thatt shot, a mirror held down the middle of the table will reveal who is sitting at the very end (the head of the table?) Let me know what you see because some of this could be subjective. Make sure you bring the mirror together where you see the waiter in the white jacket at the far end. Don't know when I will be back here again so good luck to everyone and good health.

Maybe you're supposed to wear 3D glasses while watching your Pepper disc spin under the blacklight?

Don't know when I will be back here again so good luck to everyone and good health. I hope that's very soon Mysteryboy. Those foolish glasses only appear when there's a 3d movie in the theaters, although maybe it's time for another trip to the joke shop, never know. That pic that Bluemeanie posted reminded me of those "x-ray" specs they used to sell in the back of comic books when I was a kid. (Do they still?)

There were a couple of turkeys that I had to sit through to experience 3d. One was a King Kong type of storyline and a young Joanna Kerns of Growing Pains fame played the Faye Raye type. It was hideous and when the general said "Kill the hairy SOB" the ape flipped him the bird. Real classy.
There was also some sad tv movies with 3d glasses and those were "Revenge of theCreature", something that had Raymond Burr in it...more turkeys...
Why don't theyhave a Star Wars in 3D or perhaps some other really well acted film, rather than MST 3K material?
Anyhow, JoJo, maybe you need to invent a 3-d x ray specs and look at Sgt Pepper under a black light with a kaleidescope? Maybe you'll find Yucko among the crowd, and perhaps the Lindberg Baby and Jimmy Hoffa.
Are there still kaleidoscopes around? If memory serves me, there was a small opening in the end which you look, and there were two mirrors in the tube and then something on the end with colored stones, or other odd things to rotate to see different images. But take the end off and just look through it with your focus on the Album Cover.
Perhaps an old Pringle's container and a couple of mirrors could be used instead if you can't find a kaleidoscope.....Reminds me of the old crafts Captain Kangaroo used to make...like a dixie cup and a string making a phone...Maybe the Captain can help Sgt. Pepper...
I remember those ads for x ray specs, and the perverted cartoon of a guy looking through some girl's dress was just too kitschy.
