"May a good cry"? April showers bring May flowers, Doc. And BTW, you've NEVER looked better. A typo. I fixed it. I meant "many a good cry." But May is a nice month where I come from. Thank you iameye! That compliment will get me through the next couple of months at least.

The Beatles playing "Hippy Hippy Shake"! Listen to Paul's voice. A number of people on youtube commented that they hardly recognized it, but it is him singing! Hippy Hippy Shake - The BeatlesFor comparison, the group did "Hippy Hippy Shake" on the Get Back sessions. Still, at least to my ears, Faul doesn't sound much like Paul... My son just opened two tabs & played both videos simultaneously. I can certainly hear the difference in their singing styles. And, Faul doesn't seem to know the words.

Hippy Hippy Shake - The BeatlesIf a number of people hardly recognise it, doesn't make it not Paul? No, of course, because you know it's Paul. So Paul can sound different at times, but when it's a recording made post-1967 then it's definitely Faul? Talk about selective hearing.... Sometimes.....I just want to quit....just quit PID for good, because I can't stand these kinds of useless comparisons. I'd like to find some solid evidence as much as the next person, but.....it just ain't here!

A recording made from 1967-on could be Faul, or it could be another person. Remember, Dr. Truby found 3 different voices which claimed to be "Paul" singing.
The person singing "Hippy Hippy Shake" in the early Beatles rendition is definitely Paul. The way you can tell is by listening the charactics of his tone and pitch--his singing style.
The most likely reason people have trouble identifying his voice is because they've heard Faul all these years, and they haven't really learned to distinguish what Paul actually sounds like. So when something like this surfaces and it sounds different, then it leaves people to wonder... It is Paul though.

Well I think you'd be surprised how much they sound alike---it's almost indistinguishable (not to mention the fact that pre-1966 Paul himself sounds from recording to recording).
It's Macca's speaking voice that's really different than Paul's.

Well, to be fair, Faul has been singing for 40 years, while Paul only left us about a decade of music.
Faul's been Paul longer than Paul was Paul.

Youtube link to source pageAnyone play Portal? The song during the closing credits, "Still Alive" is too funny, it's sung by GLaDOS, the game's antagonist (think HAL from 2001). When I saw iameye's surreal cake idea for the forum album, I was reminded by the constant cake references from Portal's GLaDOS.

Any Baldur's Gate II fans? Irenicus the exiled elven mage, voiced by David Warner, has an interesting line @20-25 seconds... "Nothing is Real... yet" It's an ominous clip from an epic game. YouTube Source page

Ha ha. Not too convincing of a Paul, and John pulling nervously on his collar. Perfect.
