The discussion of Mal's Briefcase seems to have fizzled, but I did some work on the video that was in the case, and I'd like some opinions on it.
I can post a slowed-down one if anyone would like. It will take some time, though.
I explain my view on it at YT, but basically, I think the figure in the video seems sort of odd. I think they're meant to seem inhuman in some way.
Really, this looks like something that should have been on "The X-Files." I mean, what's with the squealing and grabbing the head?

I'd like to see a slo-mo version. I still think this might relate to the manner the Zodiak killed his victims. In the article in the Jack the Ripper thread that Malus posted, the Zodiak is supposed to have killed someone in broad daylight dressed as a mideival executioner.

65if, what is the edit date on the CD?
every file has a date on which it was put on the cd, or when the file was made..
just put the cd in the drive and look at the file's property's
maybe the date is significant?

Give him a while. At his age it takes him a while to remember where he last put things, let alone where he is at the moment.

Look at 0:13 on the video... You can kinda see a face. It's sort of featureless...

OK. Here's the slowed-down version. It's practically a frame-by-frame.
This is as good as it gets, unless 65if wants to post the original file somewhere (assuming it's any better than the downscaled YouTube version that I lifted).

There's a little more clarity in your version, zerocorpse, than in the original, but it's just too dark in that room. I don't know how much clarity is added by slowing it down. Where would you like me to post the original file?

You mean he had it ONE MINUTE before my post? Gee whiz, I feel stupid now. That communistic old fart wasn't even online at the time I wrote that message.

65if: Anywhere is fine. I find www.mediafire.com/ to be a decent place for file hosting. It's free and doesn't make people jump through many hoops, but Rapidshare, Megaupload, or any other hosting site is fine. Whatever is easiest for you. RAR the thing and leave it somewhere, and I'll see if I can eke anything else out of it with my video tools.
