Ringo is a Phoney![/u] Ringo Iamaphoney Boost from tafultongwww.youtube.com/watch?v=lHVEU_MlsOkRingo Message Iamaphoney from tafultongwww.youtube.com/watch?v=VZzXWuTZ47Uiamaphoney.blogspot.com/"...I made a digital recording of the entire message. If you take the silence before Ringo starts speaking in the video, there is something there in the background. I raised the volume 800% and heard an eerie rhythmical pattern of voices. I thought it must have been a television on in the background. I did the same thing to other pieces of silence in the background
If you go to the point immediately after the words "20th of October" the voices repeat as clear as a day "Iamaphoney Iamaphoney." This isn't backwards "Sleepy Red Moose" nonsense, it is as clear as a bell.
On Iamaphoney's pages, including his RINGOSTARR alias page, I have noticed a numerical sequence building 10 20 42 60. I don't know what is happening, but check out the Ringo video. Please by all means, feel free to debunk me. I am still shaking."

Well as long as the subject came up.. I wrote this comment on Taf's blog: Tried my hand at isolating the quiet parts and boosting them. I put three together, with the first and third from 13 and 41 seconds, respectively. I lost track of where the second is from, probably 26. I guess what is most interesting, at least to me, is that 13 and 41 are just about identical, if not exactly so.. Wonder why? www.jojoplace.org/Shoebox/Ringo_Statement_Cropped.wavReally need headphones for something like this. I don't know for sure myself.. I will say I agree Ringo's message and his delivery of same was a bit strange. media.ringostarr.com/video//2008-10-10/2008-10-10.mov(Quicktime plugin required)

Everything about this video is STRANGE. The way he opens with "This is a serious message" is strange. The way he follows that up with "I want to tell you" is strange. The way it appears as if audio has been removed immediately after he says "I want to tell you" is strange. Giving the specific date of October 20 is strange. The way he says "I'm WARNING you with peace and love" is strange. And finally, the way he swipes his hand across his lips when he says "thank you", as if to indicate that he's not being ALLOWED to fully disclose something is COLOSSALLY strange. It *seems* to me like he's been given some advance warning of some sort of catastrophe, and he's trying to subtly let people know. Hell, the guy IS a freaking Beatle, so maybe there's a place reserved for him on the spaceship, or the underground bunker, and he's been told that the bugout date is 10/20. As for whether or not the background noise is "I am a phoney", I'm coming down on the side of NO. Here's the video, incidentally:

Yeah.. the strange behavior is the more important issue, not the IAAP one.. People told the Beatles things.. And still do, you can count on that! You could interpret his refusal of any submissions after this date to either mean it's the old "act now" hard sell to promote more submissions or... After the 20th it won't be possible for more serious reasons.

Maybe he's admitting that he was also replaced? This is supposedly a pic taken of Ringo from 1973 that appeared on the Paul is Dead Miss Him forum. It looks more like a Ringo photo from the mid-60's with him wearing a wig, not a circa 1973 photo of "Ringo". A pic of "Ringo" from the early 70's: Are you getting it yet?

Do I hear:
"...I want to tell you (I'm a phoney)..." at 0:17 in the Ringo Message video?
Neither picture of "Ringo" in Dark Horse's post looks like Ringo to me.

Neither picture of "Ringo" in Dark Horse's post looks like Ringo to me. You could very well be right. What's interesting is how different the Ringo in those two pics look to each other.

The original date for LHC starting its main phase of experiments was Oct 21. CERN has said that it won't happen then, but can we be sure? Is Ringo's weird message linked to LHC somehow???

His behaviour is very peculiar, and yet there seems to be a slightly comical side to it.
I can see where you are getting "iamaphoney" from, but I'm not sure it's definitely there
Faulcon, before I read your post LHC had already come into my mind, thank you for confirming that for me, but it could just be that he has been receiving so much mail that either he simply cannot respond to it all and wants to get on top of what he's got or it's simply pissing him off!

It does play out like a hostage video, a short clip like that wouldn't pass quality control for most celebs, but there are plausible reasons as to why that clip was used.
And it is also possible that Ringo isn't working on his own - recording, touring, setting up his own website... Someone in post-production could have added that 'iamaphoney' sound-bite as a joke or it could have been added on purpose, we can't know for sure.
I do hear I'm a phoney in the enhanced youtube video that Tafultong posted. And people who pedantically question whether or not the words are 'I'maphoney' are missing the point, it sounds very much like I'maphoney and that's all that matters when getting a message across. In this instance, you wouldn't likely hear, in a crystal clear pronouncement "I am a phoney".

"but it could just be that he has been receiving so much mail"
Maybe, but I can't imagine it's more than when he was a Beatle. And why suddenly this Oct 20 demarcation? It just seems weird to me...

"but it could just be that he has been receiving so much mail" Maybe, but I can't imagine it's more than when he was a Beatle. And why suddenly this Oct 20 demarcation? It just seems weird to me... According to abbeyrd.best.vwh.net/fabnews.htm , the news media has picked up on it and the results for Ringo's image are about what I expected. I was trying to think of a good reason why Ringo would make an announcement like this. Paul and George both got to that point with fan requests, but handled it much less publicly. The best possible spin would be something like Ringo wanted to warn people not to send valuable items to him. But that doesn't wash because his statement was "No more fan mail" and the part about sending items seemed to be added almost as an afterthought. Here is an example of one of the news stories from the BBC: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7666826.stmI also strongly disagree with those who say that this is just the way Ringo talks. He talked that way in the late 1970s and 1980s, but I hear a big difference in vocal cadence between this message and the other ones on his web site, and I have watched all of them.

My take on this is that Ringo was threatened (see BBC article above) and is worried about what might be in those letters and packages October 20th.--on.

Ringo:
"I want to tell you after the 20th of October please do not send fan mail to any address you have. Nothing will be signed after the 20th of October. If that is the date on the envelope, it's gonna be tossed.
"I'm warning you with peace and love I have too much to do. So no more fan mail. Thank you, thank you. And no objects to be signed. Nothing."
He said; "This is a serious message to everybody watching my update right now. Peace and love. Peace and love."
Yeah, seems a little ominous...

According to the BBC article, a foliage of himself "sculpture" was beheaded in Liverpool by vandals... perhaps some kind of nod to McCartney being beheaded in a car wreck?
Also, I've posted on YouTube the possibility that Ringo was threatened, and may be trying to expose Paul as a fake... it only seems plausible... it seems like Ringo is going into hiding after Oct. 20th... perhaps he spills the beans that McCartney was replaced, and flees?

It would change the nature of these boards. All the PWR/PID boards would light up like Christmas trees ! There are those of us who have considered the possibility that Faul is behind the iamaphoney group. Has anyone given serious consideration to the possibility that it's either Ringo or Fingo who is doing it

Sounds like 'I'm a fool' to me. Faul is the fool on the hill, in a garden by the sea, close to walls and bridges, buried six feet down under many layers, covered with flowers in the dirt. Ringo is just tired, getting closer to seventy years old with each passing day. I personally wouldn't want to spend the rest of my days signing my signature on who knows what, for the whole world of fans.

But why make such a bonehead move with a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT?
