Who is this person? The reason I ask is because HE miraculously turns into these more familiar chaps: It's from the director's cut of Anthology, and I think it could be a pretty blatant example of hidden in plain site. Watch it here, and notice that the original, let's call him......Beatle ADAM, has Paul's raised right eyebrow: Could this be what QUADrophenia was referring to Were they literally four aspects of the same person? As in clones, and Nazis, and Mengele, oh my?

He's the one that's "got to be good looking 'cause he's so hard to see". Remember paul is dead - the rotten apple 67 O ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXLYr0oB9z0We "the Beatle". The 4 of them were that guy. So that guy is "the one and only Billy Shears", which is to say, "Shakespeare", who was, in fact, a composite of writers (even though there was a gent who played the part). He is the musical side of Shakespeare, Billy Shears. Of course, on Sgt. Pepper he is 'sung by' Ringo, or John, or someone, but notice the lyrics: He gets by "with a little help from his friends" (the Beatles) without whom he would have no voice. He is "the fool"; the man of a thousand voices (because thousands of men and women are his voice, in song) but nobody ever hears him, or the sound he appears to make (from human voices). And "they" don't like him: the fool. "They" is the powers that be, behind the scenes in the world, who don't like what "the fool" has to say. He is "God", but admit it: he looks like a fool! "God" may seem too lofty a term to describe him, but he is the writer of the script that is played out on Earth, which is why you hear the typewriter frantically being pounded away upon at the end of the 1882 video: Paul McCartney - 1882www.youtube.com/watch?v=oopAUQDzyxcAnd of course, the script calls for a happy ending, which is why "they", who have opted for corruption, don't like him. But "they" had free will. "Free will" that is. Billy was available to write a favorable script. Anyway, the fireman (as messenger of the spirit of the fool) says we should Sing the Changeswww.youtube.com/watch?v=tcfiViHa1F4&fmt=18and take the HIGH way HIGHWAY Paul McCartneywww.youtube.com/watch?v=UXnPHlQONJ8as opposed to the Highway to Hell. www.youtube.com/watch?v=erJc4dzZ3IA----------------------------------------------------------------- Interesting concept: singing in the changes to raise the vibrations of the planet. That's what the whales were doing 'til the navy set out to destroy them. Bastards.

Well, isn't he a composite of the four of them? He may be a composite of three of them; Paul, John, and George, but I don't see Ringo in there, actually.

The thing I find most strange about this is that the concept is many-from-one, instead of the more logical (and less sinister) many INTO one.
It makes logical sense to talk about the fact that these four disparate people melded together so perfectly that they created transcendent art. On the other hand, it's just creepy to suggest that the four of them miraculously generated from one.
Even figuratively.
You know what I mean?

As for this thread, the intent is what I should have stressed more in my OP, Jarv. Somebody had to have the idea to create a graphic of all four Beatles "coming up" from a single, "proto" Beatle, then that idea most likely had to be pitched, approved, and then executed. The graphic of all four Beatles emerging from the single, proto-Beatle, didn't have to exist at all, and yet it DOES exist, and is featured prominently in a product that they KNEW a good portion of their fans were going to see. I'm just suggesting that, like symbolism in a Kubrick film, this graphic isn't there just to kill an additional 45 seconds. It's there specifically to tell us something, and it may be that it's a subtle indication of how these four people, who have literally changed the world, came into existence. And weirdly, the first Beatle to emerge from the "egg" of the proto-Beatle is Paul, NOT John, which we should have expected, based on the official story of how the band came into existence. Why is Paul first? What is this graphic trying to tell us? It's just weird.

Granted, it would have been more symbolically correct to have 4 faces merge into 1, but probably not as visually effective. Sometimes a pipe is just a pipe!

Well, isn't he a composite of the four of them? He may be a composite of three of them; Paul, John, and George, but I don't see Ringo in there, actually. The composite guy does have Ringo's bent-to-the-left nose. And the top of his hair is from the Ringo image. Seems to have Ringo's left ear, too. The intention behind this composite face F/X is unity. Granted, it would have been more symbolically correct to have 4 faces merge into 1, but probably not as visually effective. Sometimes a pipe is just a pipe! Isn't there a less bizarre and enigmatic way to illustrate unity than that? I'd like to see the entire thing in context. Unfortunately, only the first episode of the Director's Cut in on Youtube. But, we see in the very beginning of the first episode... the composite guy! Without the Beatles coming out of him. Strange that they would have a graphic for unity at the very beginning of the documentary, before the Beatles were born, let alone formed a band. www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-qMmaeBZE0Whether or not this is actually any sort of 'clue', it seems to be more than just a pipe, and should not be written off. It's definitely worth a raised eyebrow. Does anybody have a copy of the Director's Cut? It would be great to get an idea of the context, and where in the rest of the Anthology this graphic was used.

Apollo C Vermouth wrote something about "Bill" being the hand that's never seen, while the Beatles were the fingers. Perhaps he represents "Bill". P(D)enny La(i)ne wrote: But while we're at it, I've always found the confusion in this discussion of Golden Slumbers to be really odd.---------------------Is this the video you meant to post, P(D)enny? I didn't hear a discussion of Golden Slumbers in it. There are some strange statements in this video, though. "I can't imagine a time when rock and roll was only one of the musics."Really?! That time was the 1950s, and I remember it well. "She would sing 'The Little Drummer Boy'..."The first time I heard "The Little Drummer Boy" was in about 1960. Ringo would have been 20! But I see now that it is possible that what Ringo said could be true: " The Little Drummer Boy" (originally known as "Carol of the Drum") is a popular Christmas song written by the American classical music composer and teacher Katherine Kennicott Davis in 1941. It was recorded in 1955 by the Trapp Family Singers and further popularized by a 1958 recording by the Harry Simeone Chorale. This version was re-released successfully for several years and the song has been recorded many times since." Still, Ringo's mom would have had to have known the song from the sheet music. Seems unlikely to me.

Intriguing. The appearance of "the school boys" mimics the early beatle appearances:
top: Ringo George bottom: John "Bill" Paul

my.ilstu.edu/~hmkosur/project2draftfour.htmlWhy is the griffin such a perfect symbol for Christ? Because of its dual reign over the terrestrial and the celestial, the griffin is a double-natured creature and a natural Christological symbol (Granger 17; Kronzck 107). To explain, the lion is considered king of the land and the eagle king of the sky (Granger 17). The griffin, therefore, is the king of both earth and heaven because of its two natures, part lion and part eagle www.gods-and-monsters.com/mythology-griffin.htmloh, and good at guarding gold they are!

I'm not sure when that photo was taken. It looks like it's from a fan magazine. I figured it was '68-ish judging by the hair. I also seem to notice pin-striping on the pants. Hard to tell, for sure.
He also doesn't seem quite so toweringly tall.
