www.opusklassiek.nl/muziek_algemeen/grubb.htmA tough read, but very informative. It may shed light to understand this whole Beatle question, to look into the world of classical music, the world of popular music, the world of experimental and avant garde musical recording. A very big ongoing struggle; or another way to see it, complex birth pangs bringing about new streams of musical enlightenment. All of it good? I do not know; who can say. Much of it good; some of it perhaps tiresome. Now, some say THIS man is England's greatest living classical composer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAFUuDGr0pM&feature=relateden.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrison_BirtwistleBut some are against his music. There is an a movement, an anti-modernist movement in England. Somesay this man is one of those: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrison_BirtwistleMusic----all these divergent streams, schools, movements, trends, what does it all mean? Anyone hear of Xenakis? Listen to this piece and follow the score, anyone can. Facsinating piece. Is it music? I don't know. Is it sound? Yes. Is it interesting? Yes. Is it beautiful? Well, in this case, I am not the right beholder, but I can listen to it.

But do check this one out. It is very interesting to listen to, and follow the score. You will even swear that you are hearing R2D2 in it, especially at the very end, at 3:29, it is totally Droid Speak. And this piece was recorded in 1958, 20 years before Star Wars was released! www.youtube.com/watch?v=71hNl_skTZQ&feature=relatedDid the sound engineer for the movie know of this piece? I do not see how he could NOT have, though there seems to be no proof. radassembly.com/blog/?p=24
