Are you aware that some have said he was the late Neil Aspinall?

Welcome Absolutely Fab! (great name)
I don't know if you could say the Neil thing was ever conclusively proven. (it's a long story AF) If you take the point of view that it's the message not the man, then there were things that were at least worth thinking over, at least IMO and the opinions of others.
One thing to come of this, and I don't remember if ever I mentioned it here, I ended up buying an autograph of Neil on Ebay. I was satisfied that it was for real, because the gentleman selling it had a picture of himself and Neil, with Neil in the process of signing.

No I didn't know what, LB. Is there any "proof" of that or just speculation? Is he still around?
That's very cool about the autograph, JoJo. I still have some old magazines I bought on eBay that I was thinking of turning into money (bad times lol). I'm not really a collector, of that at least.

I'll let others who were more directly involved with him address that, Absolutely Fab. I can tell you (as one involved) that as Neil got sicker, those of us who had been hearing from Apollo heard less and less. He (Apollo) had made it a habit to always send NIR-PWR Christmas greetings, and the year Neil died we didn't hear from him. For my two cents: I think he was Apollo C. Vermouth here.

in his own write:
Re: LETTERS FROM ACV « Result #5 on Sept 8, 2007, 1:39am » Pardon the intrusion...Look what the cat drug in! My, My, it has been a loooong time, hasn't it? I feels the need to answer some of me critics. Jarv, with all due respect, get your head out of your arse. Nice digs though, mate. Had it been actually based on some quip I supposedly made, I might consider some of your "findings" quite amusing. Being not the case, it comes across as rather thick and pointless. No offense, lad. You got the ball, and ran with it. C'mon, mate. Use that recipe and come up with something tasty. As for my comments regarding Tara, I stand solid. Take that brother, may it serve you well. Look back at EVERYTHING I wrote, and put the puzzle together. My mesages to both Lucy (Hi, luv) and RedLion were sent to those that took a modicum (don't start, Jarv) of interest in what was being said. My comments were not met with replies demanding "THE ANSWERS." They were keen to absorb what was given them, and then applied that to what they already knew. Might be a good game plan for the rest of you as well. Finally, I want to thank JoJo for the magic wand, much to most our your chagrin. BTW. Dylan was NOT replaced. Go figure.

interesting. what i found it hard to understand was why all the riddles? specially if it was him, and had nothing to lose, why not just say "look, this is what happened"? i always found it entertaining and all, but everything he said was so calculated it's hard for me to accept it came from someone "real".
of course, with the years that i've been away i'm sure i missed most of the party... any pictures of the cake?

ACV had his loyalties to defend. Although he was cryptic in nature, he was always spot on with his info. If you reread what he has said without any preconceived notions, you may find he offered a very grounded view of what happened.
