For those who enjoy esoteric connections I shall paint a baptismal picture involving the bathtub scenes in Lucifer Rising and the White Album, along with a few other tidbits to tie everything together.
Eight Arms To Hold You refers to an Octopus. To enter the Octopus's garden you must go down "below the sea." You must be baptized. Cleansed. This is the symbol of the bathtubs and of the Octopus's Garden.
The word Octopus can be broken down into "oct" meaning eight, and "opus" meaning work. The song Octopus's Garden is a child's song. Getting baptized is the work of an eight-year-old child.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, all good children go to heaven. If you die before you turn eight you get a free pass. When you turn eight, you must enter the Octopus's garden of baptism and you must thereafter walk the Abbey Road.
The White Album cover depicts childhood innocence and purity. The music includes a birthday song and ends with a lullaby. By contrast the Abbey Road cover depicts a crossing over. The white "beetle" on the cover has not yet crossed over, but soon will. Abbey Road was released at the end of September, just before October, symbolizing the end of seven (Sept), and the beginning of eight (Oct).
After the initiation of baptism comes the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thus, after the baptismal crossing of Abbey Road, The Beatles released an album produced by a Spector.
This is all basic Mormon doctrine. You get a free ride to heaven from birth to age seven, but when you turn eight you become capable of sin and must be baptized. Then you get the Holy Ghost.
Now, if you believe that there is in reality a modern-day incarnation of Lucifer, and if you believe that The Beatles are modern-day apostles or prophets, then I suggest you start looking for a person who was raised Mormon, and who turned eight and was baptized in 1969. After all, you would expect The Beatles' prophetic work to portray the life of this incarnate god-beast, would you not?
If you want to observe more Mormon doctrine in The Beatles' work then you need look no further than Sgt Pepper. There we see a depiction of the Garden of Eden that includes a serpent next to Snow White. This is the album that introduced the apple. After Adam and Eve ate the apple, they discovered they were naked and they covered their private parts. One of the characters on Sgt Pepper is Richard Merkin, whose last name, Merkin, means, "pubic cover," so the name "Richard Merkin" means "dick pubic cover." After Adam and Eve covered their pubes, God came down from heaven and cast them out of the garden. On Sgt Pepper we have the entire cast of characters standing outside of the garden. "Cast out of the garden." Sgt. Pepper depicts a transformation from innocence into awareness. Beatles into Peppers. This is the story of Eden.
Sgt Pepper portrays a strange masonic character who is standing behind temple doors. (Symbolized by Shirley Temple and Diana Dors.) The Mormons build elaborate temples, like the Gothic landmark in Salt Lake City, in which they perform a secret ritual that depicts Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. After Adam and Eve are cast out of the garden, they are taught handshakes, signs, and passwords that will enable them to get back in to heaven. This ritual borrows heavily from freemasonry. Mormons are the only people who combine "masonic" rituals with the drama of the Garden of Eden and do it all behind temple doors. What seems like random symbolism on Pepper makes perfect sense in a Mormon context.
The strange masonic character on Pepper is a Buffalo. This evokes images of the early American frontier, where the Mormon temple ritual originated.
The "fireman" is no mason. He might be a Mormon.

Excellent post, jarvitronics. And Woodstock was the symbolic start of the return to the garden. *Well I came across a child of God (you, me, and Pooneil)He was walking along the road (the long and winding road)And I asked him, "Where are you going?" This he told me: Well I am going down to Yasgur's farm Going to join in a rock and roll band ("Can music save your mortal soul?")Goin' to get back to the land, and set my soul freeWe are stardust; we are golden. Random scripture quotes: genesis: "So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life."

It was 20 years ago today Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play Which brings us to Crowley, who died 20 years prior to the release of Pepper, and who called himself the Beast 666, and is on the cover of Pepper, yadda, yadda, yadda. Mia ( Pharaoh) Farrow played Rosemary, and was with the Beatles in India. Crowley wrote The Book of the Law in a fit of automatic writing after visiting the Egyptian pyramids, at the behest of a spirit called Aiwas ( i Was you). Rosemary's Baby was directed by Polanski, whose wife was Sharon Tate, who was pregnant when she was murdered by the Manson family in Doris Day's old house. Lennon was quoted as saying that the Beatles stayed "at Doris Day's house (Terry Melcher was her son, who produced Manson's music), so it seems more than possible that the Beatles could have met Manson. The Tate murder scene had Helter Skelter and Piggies written on the wall in blood. A door at the Spahn Ranch had 1 2 3 4 5 6 7, All good children go to Heaven written on it, and was dicovered BEFORE the release of Abbey Road.Manson claimed that he was inspired by the song Helter Skelter. Rosemary's Baby was shot in the Dakota.Lennon lived in, and was shot in front of the Dakota. Rosemary's Baby was about an artist who sold his soul in order to facilitate the birth of Lucifer's spawn. There are lots of clues pointing to McCartney selling his soul in order to facilitate the birth of Lucifer's spawn. Kenneth Anger's Lucifer Rising has a few of these clues. I could go on, but you get the picture, and I'm certain that most of you are already familiar with all or at least most of this. This is why I haven't posted much recently. In my mind, THIS is mostly what we were supposed to have figured out, and we DID figure it out[/u]. " (emphasis mine - LB)and"I think that the natural state of the universe involves the recycling of souls. I also think that the universe runs on a basic set of rules, involving numbers, mathematics, geometry, and a fundamental concept of polarity. I further believe that some people have figured out how to manipulate these rules, and that this is what we call magick. It was through this magick that Faul was reborn as Crowley. After all, he IS the son of the magickian, no? And while I'm at it and have a bit of time, I'll throw out another Rosemary's Baby connection. Near the end of the film when the very pregnant Rosemary is in the waiting room of her obstetrician, she's reading the famous Is God Dead? edition of Time Magazine, from April 8, 1966. The title story is called Toward a Hidden God, and is 11 pages long, natch. On page 11, there's this very interesting obituary for god: "ATLANTA, Ga., Nov. 9—God, creator of the universe, principal deity of the world's Jews, ultimate reality of Christians, and most eminent of all divinities, died late yesterday during major surgery undertaken to correct a massive diminishing influence. "Reaction from the world's great and from the man in the street was uniformly incredulous . . ." www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,835309-11,00.html I ONE IX HE<>DIE or possibly 11/9 ( Nov. 9) he die. Since Rosemary is carrying Lucifer's spawn while she's reading this magazine, in a movie that has all of the other connections that I pointed out earlier, this is another link between Rosemary's Baby, Sgt. Pepper, and Lucifer reborn. "(more coming, in a follow up post)

"I also think that the universe runs on a basic set of rules, involving numbers, mathematics, geometry, and a fundamental concept of polarity.
I further believe that some people have figured out how to manipulate these rules, and that this is what we call magick." But are you suggesting that the geometry was placed there intentionally by the Beatles, or through some sort of subtle message from the universe?

Maybe it was placed there intentionally by The Beatles as a message from the universe. I guess it all depends on what one believes about The Beatles and the universe. I can give you the skeptical version or I can give you the bat shit crazy version. -j

The Apple label becomes more significant, not to mention the fact that the album was distributed in the U.S. by Tetragrammaton records.

Amazing stuff as usual Jarv.
And as long as we're throwing some thoughts out there. Just for kicks;
Though it doesn't mean this, they could have been doing a play on words with the cor anglais as meaning the main angle of things. Interesting the cor is written (we could say behind the scenes) a fifth away musically from how it's later played to the audience. ( The origins of what's presented to the audience (us) is different than what one might think, 'but it all works out').
The guy that's holding it (as replacement) would really be the fifth Beatle. Or one/fifth of the beatles (especially if JPM is still in the backround as has been speculated).
And for further kicks, 12 (time-temple) minutes is a fifth of the whole hour duration.
Wow, it's late - time to go to bed. I may regret this in the morning.

Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band contains no possessive apostrophe. Is the Sgt's last name actually Peppers, WITH the s, as opposed to Sgt. Pepper? Is the lack of apostrophe just an honest mistake, or is this another deliberately placed clue telling us to look for MULTIPLE Sgt. Peppers? Incidentally, R.E.M. omitted an apostrophe on their 1986 album, Lifes Rich Pageant, and of course the LAST song on that album is Superman. I am, I am Superman, and I know what's happening I am, I am I am Superman, and I can do anything

It was written by Mitchell Bottler and Gary Zekley, and recorded by The Clique. From Wiki: The Clique are a late 1960s U.S. sunshine pop band from Houston, Texas.
The group was centered around record producer/songwriter Gary Zekley, who often employed session musicians. Their self-titled album, The Clique (1969), released by White Whale Records, featured the singles "I'll Hold Out My Hand" and "Sugar on Sunday" which reached #45 and #22 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, respectively. So, will Paul be back as Superman?
