They say you can stand an egg upright on its small end 12 hours before and after the equinox. I've never succeeded in doing it, but a co-worker of mine once managed to do it. Steady hands are required, and I don't have those. But try it if you'd like, and post the results here!

It's relevant here for two reasons. The cover. And the inner sleeve. I couldn't get enough clarity in this photo, but "Ode to the vernal equinox" is written on the wall above the eggs.
