RE: Meaning behind the Eye of Horus, Space Travel?
Also notice within the 7 churches of Revelation, that one is named Ephesus.
regarding the Caduceus...the ancient symbol itself represented Well Being, with it's wings at the top most likely representing 'divinity' or 'enlightment'.
What's interesting is that the cranial sphenoid bone that the Pineal/epiphysis gland rests upon at midpoint, is called 'The Great Wing' in Gray's Medical book of Anatomical illustrations, because it so closely resembles a pair of wings.
So when viewing the Caduceus, note the round pearl at the top of the staff/spinal cord....
which most likely represents the Pineal...Pearl of Great Price.
so... the 'great wing' (above) is located at the top of the spine, resting beneath the brain; or, more accurately, beneath the pineal gland...
...or - Horus' pupil
The [preceeding] image shows the Egyptian Eye of Horus (or Eye of Ra) and how how it precisely matches exact formation of the thalamus within the human brain (click for a larger image).
The similarities are not just uncanny – they are exact. Yet this is viewed as nothing more than a coincidence, because in modern thinking it is assumed that the Egyptians could not have had this knowledge. Thus we are blinded to the obvious. The Eye of Horus was also broken into six basic components, each representing a different sense; smell, touch, taste, hearing, sight and thought. The thalamus is the part of the human brain which translates all incoming signals from our senses. Could the symbolism of this be any clearer?
There is a great deal of information buried within the symbolism of mythology, religion and ancient tradition. This information not only uncovers long lost ’secrets’, but also provides a key into one of the greatest mysteries; understanding ourselves. As researchers dig deeper into this amazing symbolism not only is new knowledge being found – but perhaps it is leading to the discovery of the origin of knowledge itself.

never seen the connection before, but i suppose if you split the brain in two you would see the left and right eyes of horus, which of course relate to the left and right sides of the brain.
The Right Eye of Horus [shown on the left] represents concrete factual information controlled by the left brain. It deals with words, letters, and numbers and those things which are describable in terms of sentences or complete thoughts. It approaches the universe in terms of male oriented ideation.
The Left Eye of Horus represents abstract aesthetic information controlled by the right brain. It deals with esoteric thoughts and feelings and is responsible for intuition. It approaches the universe in terms of female oriented ideation. We use the Left Eye, female oriented, right side of our brain for feeling and intuition.
