I find it moderately interesting, but I'm not sure what all the excitement is about. I've told the pasture, but the cows didn't show much interest. "The world has never [glow=gold,2,300](SEEN?)[/glow] anything close to this. "I'm thinking perhaps the treasure is buried at the midpoint. I have to admit it's getting better; it's getting better all the time.

A sphinx is a Lion with Wings en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SphinxHere’s a summary of the important clues that were given:
Quote:
“The blazing star, or glory in the centre, refers us to the Sun, which enlightens the earth, and by its benign influence dispenses blessings to mankind in general”.
“In all regular, well-formed, constituted Lodges, there is a point within a circle round which a Mason cannot err; this circle is bounded between North and South by two grand parallel lines, the one representing Moses, the other King Solomon; on the upper part of this circle rests the Volume of the Sacred Law, supporting Jacob's ladder, the top of which reaches to the heavens; and were we as conversant with that holy book, and as adherent to the doctrines therein contained, as both those parallels were, it would lead us to Him who will not deceive us, neither will He suffer deception.”
"Moses caused a tent or Tabernacle to be erected in the wilderness, which by God's especial command was situated due East and West, for Moses did everything according to a pattern shown him by the Lord on Mount Sinai. This Tent or Tabernacle proved afterwards to be the ground-plan, in respect to situation, of that most magnificent Temple built at Jerusalem by that wise and mighty Prince, King Solomon, whose regal splendour and unparalleled lustre far transcend our ideas." End Quote

Orion: The Maya called Orion Ak' Ek' or "Turtle Star", Orion is depicted in the Madrid Codex as a turtle with three tun ("stone") glyphs on its back. Because the sky has not yet been raised, before the creation, the hearth is a location in both earth and sky. The turtle shell is an earth symbol, like the back of the crocodile at the foot of the World Tree. Here is the place of Creation, where the sky will rise and saw the nearby ecliptic constellation of Gemini as the mother peccary and the belt stars are her children. In addition, the Maya used three stars in the constellation Orion: The great blue giant, Rigel, Kappa Orionis, the star Saiph and the belt star, Alnitak. These three stars form an equilateral triangle called, Oxib X'kub' or “The Three Stones of the Hearth”. They represent the Maya hearth, made of three stones placed in a triangular pattern. The hearth was and is the very foundation of the Maya home. Directly in the center of the Three Stones of the Hearth, you will find the Orion nebula, M42. It acts as the flame called, “K’ak”. Toward dawn on the Creation night of Aug 13, the constellation Orion moves toward the zenith. The K'iche' people still refer to a triad of three bright stars in Orion as "the hearth stones", and the hazy nebula below Orion's belt is called "the smoke from the hearth".

www.insects.org/ced1/beetles_rel_sym.htmlIn Egyptian mythology, Khepri (also spelled Khepera, Kheper, Chepri, Khepra) is the name of a major god. Khepri is associated with the dung beetle (kheper), whose behavior of maintaining spherical balls of dung represents the forces which move the sun. Khepri gradually came to be considered as an embodiment of the sun itself, and therefore was a solar deity. To explain where the sun goes at night, such pushing was extended to the underworld, Khepri's pushing of the sun being ceaseless.Because of this, they also associated the Khepri with rebirth, renewal, and resurrection. Indeed, his name means "to come into being". As a result of this, when the rival cult of the sun-god Ra gained significance, Khepri was identified as the aspect of Ra which constitutes only t he dawning sun (i.e. the sun when it comes into being).
Dream Stele "Now the statue of the very great Khepri [the Great Sphinx ] rested in this place, great of fame, sacred of respect, the shade of Ra resting on him. Memphis and every city on its two sides came to him, their arms in adoration to his face, bearing great offerings for his Ka. One of these days it happened that prince Thutmose came travelling at the time of midday. He rested in the shadow of this great god. [Sleep and ] dream [took possession of him] at the moment the sun was at zenith. Then he found the majesty of this noble god speaking from his own mouth like a father speaks to his son, and saying: "Look at me, observe me, my son Thutmose. I am you father Horemakhet-Khepri-Ra-Atum. I shall give to you the kingship [upon the land before the living]....[Behold, my condition is like one in illness], all [ my limbs being ruined]. The sand of the desert, upon which I used to be, (now) confronts me; and it is in order to cause that you do what is in my heart that I have waited." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_Steleinsects.wikia.com/wiki/Kheper_aegyptiorum

In Germany, where scarab worship, in the form of the stag beetle, has persisted longest, the equation scarab = Christ was widely accepted. The quintessential German artist, Albrecht Dürer, associated the stag beetle with Christ in various paintings, and produced a famous watercolor of the insect. The Jesuit Athanasius Kircher (1602-1680) did not hesitate to recall the identification scarab = Christ, referring both to St. Ambrose and Psalm 22:6:
“But I am a worm, and no man,” verse which has been referred to Christ, and where (as Kircher says), “some read scarab instead of worm.” He went further to combine Christian faith with Alchemy: for him, the scarab was the prima materia of the Great Work . This idea was shared by some alchemists, e.g. Michael Maier (1566-1622), who explained in his writings that the so-called “philosophal stone,” product of the Great Work, was nothing other than Christ, resuscitated from the dead; a promise of resurrection for all human beings. Perhaps the scarabs and other beetles still occasionally used as ornaments (like in the Art Nouveau jewelry referred to above) are ultimate remnants of these old faiths, which can be traced back to the Egyptians and Paleolithic shamans.[/color] books.google.com/books?id=iBSDddO-9PoC&pg=PA392&lpg=PA392&dq=Albrecht+Dürer+beetle+christ&source=bl&ots=wHCvfeDnKo&sig=bAEKCzvwL1pmSohDZY5-Wd9y6pI&hl=en&ei=-2xYTq7cKobn0QGLouGqDA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CFQQ6AEwCA#v=onepage&q&f=falsere-old mastered, in LEGO ;D blog.makezine.com/archive/2011/03/albrecht-durers-beetle-in-lego.htmllol ;D

The K'iche' people still refer to a triad of three bright stars in Orion as "the hearth stones", and the hazy nebula below Orion's belt is called "the smoke from the hearth". The Maya of southern Mexico and Guatemala also associated Orion with their creator god. Orion's belt stars represented the back of a celestial turtle. First Father, their creator god, emerged from a crack in the back of this celestial turtle to put people in the world. Perhaps barely seeing the Orion Nebula as a bit of a smudgy appearance to the center star in Orion's sword and interpreting this smudge as smoke, they saw the center star in Orion's sword as the flame of creation. The Mayan hearth was a triangle of three stones. Alnitak, the easternmost belt star, along with the two feet stars, Saiph and Rigel, formed the celestial hearth cradling their fire of creation Read more at Suite101: Nebula in the Constellation Orion: Ancient Creation Mythology, Modern Astrophysics, & Star Formation | Suite101.com www.suite101.com/content/nebula-in-the-constellation-orion-a26847#ixzz1WEc8mPTBthe Fireman!
