Ok so I was on youtube, looking for PID videos. I realized that even though IAAP uses this clip at the beginning of THe Winged Beatle, I really never payed much attention to the actual interview itself, so, being bored, I watched some of it.
I noticed that at around the 3:07 mark, Paul (Faul) talks about a guy that used to come around with Michael Jackson, a really great guy called Billy.
Watch it. It seems like Paul threw that info in there for intentional reasons. It definitely didn't really add much to the conversation, since none of us really know who Billy is. Unless, he knew Billy was watching the broadcast and wanted to give him some type of shout out. I don't know. I just thought it was a little weird.
Watch it and see for yourself.

If Bill is King of the BillHill why is he pretending to be JPM? retrieve early 15c., retreve, from M.Fr. retruev-, stem of O.Fr. retrouver "find again," from re- "again" + trouver "to find," probably from V.L. *tropare "to compose" (see trove) trove 1888, from treasure trove (c.1550), from Anglo-Fr. tresor trové (late 12c.), translating L. thesaurus inventus, lit. "treasure found." ;D

Does anyone know when William Campbell won the "Paul McCartney look-a-like" contest. Also...were was this contest held. And how did the BEATLES find out about the winner and the contest.

I think the contest thing is BS. As far as i know there was never any official Paul McCartney look-a-like contest held. I think they had to of used someone they already knew, possibly someone who've stood in for Paul before as the replacement.
The whole contest thing is pure dis info and completely illogical from my point of view.

Pictures of Keith in 2004 thread: invanddis.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=TAR&action=display&thread=3271Also, from another source (take with grain of salt): www.recmusicbeatles.com/public/files/faqs/pid.html"MYTH: Then the Beatles, in the winter of 1966, held a "Paul look- alike" contest but no winner was ever announced. BUT - there was a winner....his name was William Campbell, and he was paid a considerable amount of money to play along with the facade - he was to be the NEW Paul. He supposedly looked enough like PM to sit in with the other Beatles for photographs, sometimes even fooling the photographers. Strangely, nothing was ever heard of William Campbell again. His picture is included on the poster that came with the White album in the lower right-hand corner. Looks like Paul with glasses, mustache, and combed back hair. William Campbell has this faint scar on his upper lip, PM doesn't. REALITY: Such a contest was actually held, co-sponsored by an American teen magazine (perhaps "Tiger Beat"?) and Dick Clark of the TV show "American Bandstand". The winner of this 1965 contest was Keith Allison, who had a brief brush with fame on teen shows such as "Where The Action Is" and apparently later joined Paul Revere and the Raiders, circa 1966. The real Paul *does* have a faint scar on his upper lip from the above-mentioned motorcycle accident. No William Campbell ever won a Paul look-alike contest. The William Campbell clue was invented by Fred LaBour. "
