Credit for this one goes to my brilliant girlfriend.
We were discussing the code in the drum. It actually came up due to a funny moment of synchronicity as I read Dan Brown's Lost Symbol. The protagonist Robert Langdon is examining a piece of evidence, and he says "The Roman numeral I-I-I-X doesn't exist. It would be written V-I-I."
With a laugh I pointed this out to her, and that's when it occurred to her--
Maybe the "x" here is to indicate multiplication, or "times."
I I I (times) ^ HE DIE
Three Times He Die?
Thoughts?
