Fred and Barney need to be in two places at once, what do they do? Call on Gazoo, their alien friend sent to serve them. Gazoo makes them some DOUBLES so they can be free to do as they please. Direct link to 6:06-> www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1lt4e48eQY&t=6m6sSuperstone was played by an an actor tired of his role Fred replaced him. Direct Link to 3:55-> www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5GiWWAK81s#t=3m55sThere are more episodes that deal with multiple Freds and doubles like "The Tycoon" and "King for a Night". This just seems bizarre to me. There are also several that feature Fred as a newly discovered singer. As strange as it sounds there are many other episodes that deal with subjects like Freemasonry (Water Buffaloes), MPD/split personality. The plot of one episode is after being hit on the head with a bottle, Fred contracts amnesia and becomes an Englishman called "Frederick.". In another a character named Eppy Brianstone, a play on Brian Epstein. As Robert Blake would say someone's been messing with our noodles all along.

Mommy told me something a little kid should know. It's all about the devil and I've learned to hate him so. She said he causes trouble when you let him in the room. He will never ever leave you if your heart is filled with gloom.
So let the sun shine in face it with a grin. Smilers never lose and frowners never win. So le the sun shine in face it with a grin Open up your heart and let the sun shine in.
When you are unhappy, the devil wears a grin But oh, he starts to running when the light comes pouring in I know he'll be unhappy 'Cause I'll never wear a frown Maybe if we keep on smiling He'll get tired of hanging 'round.
If I forget to say my prayers the devil wears a grin. But he feels so awful awful when he sees me on my knees So if you're full of trouble and you never seem to win, Just open up your heart and let the sun shine in.
So let the sun shine in face it with a grin. Smilers never lose and frowners never win. So le the sun shine in face it with a grin Open up your heart and let the sun shine in.

You are so on to something Whammo. I've always thought the Flintstone's Masonic "Loyal Order of Water Buffalo" lodge was odd, but highlighting the other familiar aspects blows my mind.
Just what is going on, and why are viewers being clued into the same weird scenarios over and over again? You know, for the longest time I thought Let the Sun Shine In was saying "Mothers never lose and fathers never win" as opposed to "Smilers never lose and frowners never win"
Anyway, the Flintstones were produced by Screen Gems. Have you ever noticed their logo? This is just a clever way of hiding three 6's.
And "Let the Sun Shine In" is a song denouncing the devil? There be some trickery going on here!

This Wikipedia article helped to refresh my memory of these episodes: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Flintstones_episodesThere is also an episode called "Samantha" featuring Elizabeth Montgomery & Dick York of "Bewitched" where Samantha is doing all sorts of witchcraft with the children. I wasn't allowed to watch "Bewitched" as a kid because of the occult connection but "The Flintstones" was fair game. I have just skimmed the surface with the Flintstone episodes.

The S From Hell vimeo.com/18332484from Rodney Ascher (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_237)THE S FROM HELL is a short documentary-cum-horror film about the scariest corporate symbol in history - The 1964 Screen Gems logo, aka ‘The S From Hell.’ Built around interviews with survivors still traumatized from their childhood exposure to the logo after shows like Bewitched or The Monkees, the film brings their stories to life with animation, found footage, and dramatic reenactments.
Not an exhaustive historical documentary, THE S FROM HELL is a subjective film whose aim is make the audience feel the same fear and confusion as the children who were first confronted by the vexing, unfolding sights and mournful, dissonant sounds that hid in the cracks between their favorite TV shows.

Another is the CBS logo:

Does anyone else see the star and crescent moon? This symbol is used in Freemasonry, the Shriners and of course... Islam. The Greeks used it to represent the goddess Diana. Does the 'Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes' point us to the ROAB?

Strange.
I was watching clips from the Compleat Beatles a week or so ago, particularly a scene in which George Martin says this:
And the boys didn't think it was a good idea at all. The idea of being portrayed in cartoon form was basically abhorrent to them, particularly when the guy who was doing it the only track record that they could think of , was that he had done the Flintstones.
And my first question was -- what did King Features have anything to do with The Flintstones? Because they didn't. Nor did George Dunning. And they knew George Dunning's work, if not by name, but at least by association with THE BEATLES ANIMATED CARTOON. I can find nowhere that George Dunning ever worked for Hanna Barbera OR on The Flintstones. Nor any association Hanna Barbera had with Brodax, King Features or United Artists/MGM. And MGM /United Artists did not merge until the 1980's.
So why does George Martin emphatically say this? He says it with a conviction that would leave no doubt in anyone's mind of its factual nature.Or lack of. Both Hanna and Barbera were EX-MGM in fact. The Flintstones/Yellow Submarine share very little in common with one another.
Interesting now how I'm seeing this posted about The Flintstones, and that other thread about the Buffaloes/Sgt Pepper/Lennon. Because instantly seeing this thread here, made me recall George Martin's absolute confirmation that The Beatles hated the idea because of a cartoon series that had nothing to do with the cartoon they were set to be in.

Anyway, you should have read The Great Gazoo's bio first. lol Exiled to Earth from his home planet Zetox as punishment for having invented a doomsday machine, a weapon of immense destructive power. H is invention was a button which if pressed would destroy the universe in an explosive "ZAM," though he insists he made it on a whim ("I wanted to be the first on my block to have one!") with no intent of using it. Gazoo was discovered by Fred and Barney when his flying saucer crashed; Gazoo recognizes Fred and Barney's world as prehistoric Earth, implying Zetox banished him through time as well as space. Meet the Flint Stones ZAM

www.britannia.com/history/arthur/grail.htmlThe Holy Grail The Tradition: The Holy Grail was a vessel used by Christ at the Last Supper. Given to his grand-uncle, St. Joseph of Arimathea, it was used by him to collect Christ's blood and sweat while Joseph tended him on the Cross. After Christ's death, Joseph was apparently imprisoned in a rock tomb similar to the one he had given for the body of his grand-nephew. Left to starve, he was sustained for several years by the power of the Grail which provided him with fresh food and drink every morning. www.davidjayjordan.com/LordsCupistheHolyGrail.htmllol

Is Dr Robert the man in the white coat getting into the white VW? I dunno ;D Doctor Robert: The host of Love. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_(Cirque_du_Soleil)#CharactersA doctor of mysterious character, and not necessarily of medicine. A gracious host, he gladly supplies "tea" to unsuspecting drinkers and encourages them to take leaps of faith into new and sometimes intoxicating ventures. lol

"Take a drink from his special cup, Doctor Robert" This picture is from the same Life magazine session where Paul looks so un-Paul like. Also it feels like it is backwards. Funny that the only other pic from that day his face is covered? I think he had a few nips and tucks shortly thereafter. I am considering the possibility of a clone rather than a double or twiin. Ever see "The Sixth Day"? On the other hand there are just too many differences between the Pauls.
