April 19th was a good day for The Beatles to record and release songs, and some memorable performances too. Wed, April 19, 1967 is an interesting footnote... The agreement that is refered to as "The Beatles & Company" was the formation of Apple Corps and it's entities. www.macca-central.com/macca-calendar/today_beatle_history.php?aDate=2013-04-19Today in Beatle History Fri, April 19th, 2013 Wed, April 19th, 1961 The Beatles perform at the Top Ten Club, Reeperbahn, Hamburg, West Germany. The Beatles tape "Twist and Shout", "Roll Over Beethoven", "I Wanna Be Your Man", "Long Tall Sally", "Can't Buy Me Love", a medley of their hits "Love Me Do/Please Please Me/From Me to You/She Loves You/I Want to Hold Your Hand", and an Isley Brothers song, "Shout". "The Beatles Anthology 1" reports that The Beatles also recorded the song "Boys" for the program, but it was not included on the TV special. The festival of Easter is celebrated by both the Christian and Jewish religions. In Judaism, Easter is more commonly called Pesach and always falls on 15 Nisan of the Jewish calendar - around March or April in the Gregorian (Western) calendar. What date Christians celebrate Easter depends on where you live - the Eastern Orthodox Church sometimes celebrates Easter on a different day to that of the Westen Church. In what follows, when I refer to "Easter", I refer to the Easter of the Western Church. When can Easter fall? Easter can fall on any date (provided it is a Sunday) between 22nd March and 25th April inclusive. What is the most likely date for Easter? The most likely date for Easter is 19th April, which has a 3.87% chance of this happening in a given year.

Interesting that the royal baby was born on 7/22 (22/7) Pi day. Or in Australia (OZ) it was born during 7/23 (23/7). Not only the beginning of the Dog Days of Summer, referring to Sirius, but 237, as in Room 237 from The Shining. And let's not forget that America is 237 years old this year.

' God particle ' theorists receive Nobel Prize in physics
www.cnn.com/2013/10/08/world/europe/sweden-nobel-prize-physics/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
(CNN) -- The Higgs boson, the "God particle," which was discovered last year, garnered two physicists the Nobel Prize in Physics on Tuesday, but it didn't go to the scientists who discovered it. Nearly 50 years ago, Francois Englert of Belgium and Peter Higgs of the United Kingdom had the foresight to predict that the particle existed.Their theories behind the Higgs boson explained what gives matter mass and helped complete scientists' understanding of the nature of all matter.

"The awarded theory is a central part of the Standard Model of particle physics that describes how the world is constructed," the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said in a post on Twitter. As is tradition, the academy phoned the scientists during the announcement to inform them of their win. They were unable to reach Higgs, for whom the particle is named.
