Hamburg photo tampering more proof

I have not seen the forum but another PID forum (miss him) I saw what I believe is indisputable proof of retrospective photo tampering.

There is a photo of the Beatles circa 69 or 70, not sure of the correct year. It`s the photoshoot where Paul is wearing a white shirt and pinkish suit, John is wearing a hat and jeans and I can`t recall what the other two are wearing. Paul definitely looks unusual there - and it`s not just his fatter face. I remember seeing that photo when I was a kid and thinking Paul looked different, not just with the weightier face.

There is also a photo that shows Paul from the Hamburg days and when it is put next to the later Paul photo from that photoshoot, it hits you that the Hamburg photo is doctored right down to the eyes and mouth to give the same features as the Paul from that later photoshoot. The later Paul`s features have been more or less superimposed on the young Paul in Hamburg. Easy to do with black and white photographs. I recall seeing that doctored photo about a decade ago and thinking something was not quite right about it. But I didn`t think it was doctored as the Beatles were very young in the Hamburg photos and thinner with their developing bodies and facial features.

So why alter a Hamburg photo of the young Paul McCartney if there is not something significant going on?

I have one foot firmly planted in the PID camp and the other is starting to make moves. I also read an English translation of the Italian forensic experts who looked at whether the current Paul McCartney is the original. Those two are absolutely credible and respected experts in their fields.

I am starting to wonder if the real Paul McCartney had some kind of destructive LSD trip, was killed during it by an accident or was left incapacitated by it. And died at some time.

It`s clear that the Sergeant Pepper`s cover is not only a tribute to Tara Browne but also is Paul McCartney`s funeral arrangement. Two deaths referred to.

As for the idea that the new Paul could not have written the post Pepper songs - the original Paul would have had lots of songs put away. Easy - the new one just performs them, he has enough on his plate with trying to get the Paul look etc down pat. He is a musician so it`s not hard to perform other people`s songs. As for his Wings songs - ghostwriters abound in the music industry, some are famous names who don`t mind kicking in songs and not getting their name on it as they collect royalties.

The pictures I think you refer to are where they are sat on a bench with Faul wearing a light pink 2 piece suit and white shirt, George in brightly coloured striped trousers; hunched up together and the other 3 almost smirking as if to say, "Can't you tell it is a different person?" Faul looks so much broader than the other 3 with very long legs.
The "Oldies but Goldies" album was rushed out after Paul's demise; hence the artwork on the cover instead of the usual photos. This illustration depicted Tara Browne. Yes, it seems they used "ghostwriters" to write songs; Lennon/McCartney would not have had time to write all those songs for themselves and other people too. However, John and Paul had a magic chemistry together that, of course, could not be duplicated that is why the songs changed after 1966/67; some of Paul's material was already recorded that they could still use. Faul/Bill whoever, was a session musician who had ability but not the magic of Paul and not the chemistry with John.

What sort of photo tampering techniques were available in the sixties?

I still have my feet dangling in the 'Paul is Alive' camp; but I think you are onto something here.

What we seem to know is:

1) On more than one occasion someone besides the original Paul McCartney was photographs as Paul McCartney.

2) Audio (have their been recent audio analysis) analysis from the (early?) 70s claims that at least Sgt.Pepper's has 3 different people singing Paul McCartney's vocals.

3) Mal Evans publicly spoke about having a hand in writing at least two songs, "Fixing a Hole" and "Sgt.Pepper's...", to what extent is debatable- but it is odd McCartney would need help on songwriting, and it has been insinuated that Evans helped more than merely adding a line or phrase as is known to happen on occasion with songwriters, and the Beatles in particular.

4) There was a clear and conscious effort to change from "The Beatles" to "Beatles"- and we know that the original concept album that Sgt.Pepper's replaced was supposed to be about their childhood. And with this change certain themes and motifs that keep repeating themselves (especially those about death.)

5) The Beatles, and McCartney and Lennon in particular, were prevaricators; or perhaps more generously, they were known (or still known) to stretch the truth, come up with fables or provide misinformation about their songs and anything Beatles related. The testimony about there being "nothing" strange or cryptic there (on the post-Revolver albums) is not a reliable due to the witnesses being unreliable.

6) Well documented personality changes occurred effecting the group dynamics.

7) And as we've move further from the height of the band and as the characters around the Beatles age and pass away, we are beginning to get a more informative understanding about the unsavory characters surrounding the band and the unwholesome activity within their inner circle.

8) And, I think it is evident at this point, both Tara Browne and the "Bigger than Jesus" comment had a profound effect on the group.

I think 7 and 8 play a huge role here. We are beginning to understand just how many drugs were being consumed- and mind altering ones at that- that a LOT of people, including those around the Beatles, could not handle. This wasn't jazz musicians smoking a joint backstage- or even using heroin or alcohol in excess...this was get up in the morning, take a fistful of uppers; downers; use acid for days on straight; drink a lot to balance out the cocaine and then dabble in heroin.

And we are to believe that everyone around the Beatles: the London social scene, the other big pop groups, handlers, employees and fans alike- were ravaged by deaths, mental disintegration, or serious addiction, but these four men escaped without a scratch? I believe we are starting to understand that John Lennon was a mental wreck for the rest of his life after exposing himself to his week long acid trips and drug binges; so why not Paul McCartney? 

Now I can certainly see a scenario were Paul McCartney didn't first take acid at John Lennon's house [as the official story goes] and being bed ridden by it [only to come out of it as more or less an advocate] but with Tara Browne. Who is to say they didn't do it often too? McCartney was very much apart of that avant garde psychedelic (mind manifesting) scene that encouraged the tearing down of the old order and replacing it with one where drug use would "expand consciousness" and bring about a pantheistic utopia? Maybe he wasn't in the car but encouraged Tara to use acid or drugs that night and felt extreme guilt over his passing.

And maybe his use of acid led him to the well documented "ego death" that LSD brings about; and that inspired him to start thinking of himself not as Paul McCartney, stage name for a bassist in a rock and roll band; but Paul McCartney Inc.: an artistic superego/manifestation/phenonmena made up of many creative individuals- maybe Tara was one of the members of this Paul McCartney Inc., so when he died, McCartney "died" as well. I think it is well known that McCartney became obsessed with altered identities and secretive collaborations around this time; and he continues the practice to this day. And I don't think it can be dismissed that McCartney has a god complex. Maybe we don't have the full info for what happened because it would be a public embarrassment for the record label and band to find out that Paul McCartney pretentiously thinks of himself as a manifestation of Mercury and that at least the McCartney part of Lennon-McCartney were collaborating with others in writing those songs, performing or making public appearances. Suddenly, those songs aren't worth the millions and acclaim they receive because "pop geniuses" wrote and performed them and the Beatles looks more like the Monkees. That would hurt the brand and cost people a serious amount of money.

...and until they are no longer a profitable brand, we will not be able to make heads or tails or what occurred.
