tour list: theturtles.com/tour/It was a blast! The sing-along at the end of the show alone was worth the price of admission. GO! You'll love it. For all intents and purposes, the acts were as good as in their hey day, with - at worst - Chuck Negron and Gary Lewis being about 90 - 95% the same. The back-up band was incredible!

They show stuff like that on my local PBS station, stuff that is made in Pittsburgh and their public station. Old bands or old singers with new bands singing old stuff.
It's a curiosity to me, I have to give credit for those who have survived all of the 1960's and can still stand on a stage....how many have been gone for many, many years??
However, in a strange way, it seems kinda sad that after 40 or more years they are still performing the same old songs the same old way. I know it's making a living, but it's kinda sad that they can't perform new material and have it received in the same way as stuff done over 40 years ago.
Some performers can develop new material and it's accepted, while others have to perpetuate the past....a curious thing.
Not that going to oldies' shows are a bad thing. But just an observation that some have to live off the past to make a living.
