Yep. It's Mickey Dolenz & Harry Nilsson. I think it's Alice Cooper next to Mickey. I don't know who the girl is. What's strange, is that her head looks to be at an odd angle to her body. It looks like someone put her face in place of whomever really was standing there. That is so weird. I honestly don't know when it's from. I got it from off of the net somewhere.

In the film A Hard Day's Night, the road manager Norm says to John: "Leave him alone Lennon, or I'll tell them all the truth about you." John responds, "You wouldn't." Norm replies, "Oh, I would, though." A clue?

Also interesting, in the opening sequence of A Hard Day’s Night? It is only John, George & Ringo running through the streets, and when Paul is finally shown on screen, he is wearing a disguise. Also, I noticed that they are all wearing the same thing they wore when they first met Ed Sullivan. Interesting bed-fellows indeed. And speaking of Andy Warhol, here are more tie-ins. Pickwick where Lou Reed and John Cale were songwriters. And what of the British ‘60s pop-star Adam Faith, who bears a slight resemblance to Andy Warhol.

Adam Faith, as I remember, was in the movie Stardust with David Essex. A strange relationship on-screen, almost intimate. Adam's character liked Essex's character on a more than business level. I liked the story and thought maybe this was the "what would happen if" scenario. If Paul had quit, would he have spiralled out of control, eventually going insane? I loved the way the lead character managed to find a deserted estate all run down in (Scotland?) in which to continue his work. I think if you did David's Makeup right and had him cut his hair short he could have passed for the original Paul replacement. The Black and White TV LSD permissive interview, as far as I'm concerned, was David Essex with a bit of cosmetics/disguise. For those who had seen the movie, Hagman's response to his David's overdose would have been the same, to me, as Paul's handlers would have done him in if he had quit the band or, dare I say, threatened to quit?

Interesting, I don’t think anybody has suggested David Essex before. I’m curious, do you think he was Faul only during the LSD interview, or do you think he has always been Faul? One thing I noticed is that the end of David’s nose is thick, round and a little bulbous. The Paul in the LSD interview has a narrow pointy nose. Also, David has very distinctive front teeth, in the LSD interview it seems we see the usual Paul teeth. Also, the tops of David’s ears seem quite big, while Paul’s are small. David also seems to have a rounder, bigger chin than this Paul. It’s also interesting that in this photo from circa 1967, his hair is parted on the left. In the LSD interview the hair is parted in the middle. In all the photos I’ve seen of David from the ‘70s onward, his hair is parted on the left or middle. I also just made a mental note that the background in the LSD interview is of bricks. An allusion to masonry? Thanks for posting these things, Lefty. ;D There hasn’t been conversations like these on here in over a year, or more. Stardust reminds me a little of the movie Privilege. David Essex reminds me of Wayne Coyne

Definitely not David Essex.....Faul has thinner face & pointy chin. V self assured in interview I thought. John was usually the spokesman of the group but post 1967 Paul (?) became more forthcoming (different person).....something about JPM did not fit the bill for what was required of members of the group?

Taking into consideration (according to all the books) that during the late-60’s, John was becoming a drugged-out couch-potato, he still maintained his “spokesman” status, for the most part. It was John and George who were interviewed after Brian’s death. (is that another Ringo on John’s left?) It’s John who does most of the speaking in this interview. Paul is just goofing around, and never says anything substantial. (Notice Paul’s cowlick is towards the middle-left, but his bangs are shifted from the right.) And again it is John who does most of the speaking during the press conference announcing launch of Apple, while Paul says very little. “We want to set up a system, whereby people who just want to make a film about anything, don’t have to go on their knees in somebody’s office… probably yours” There’s more to this interview, but this is all I could find on Youtube. And what of the Memphis interview in 1966. Where Paul does almost all of the talking, he even interrupts John at one point. This is before the replacement, right? I believe Paul was specifically chosen to present the LSD use to the public because of his persona. And the same goes for choosing George & John to talk of Brian’s death, and so on and so on…
