I'll never forget the day.. Interesting bit on Howard Stern today, a guy named Denny Somach brought up the fact that no one knows where Lennon is buried. He sent out a plea to anyone who knows of a book with this info or just simply knows to call in. Listen in if you like: www.jojoplace.org/HS_Len_12_08.mp3Typical satellite radio version of Howard, be warned.. A rough transcript from a fan site: www.marksfriggin.com/news.htm#monHoward said Denny was calling in to talk about where John Lennon is buried because no one really seemed to know. Denny said that when you ask you'll get 3 different answers like Strawberry Fields, Liverpool or that he was cremated. Denny said there is no definitive answer to that. Denny said that people will give different answers all the time. He said there's a guy who has a book out called ''Where Are They Buried? How Did They Die? Fitting Ends and Final Resting Places of the Famous, Infamous, and Noteworthy'' and he claims that he was cremated and Yoko spread his ashes around. She once said that he was buried in an interview though and she may have let that slip accidentally. That's why all of this came up.
Denny said he found out about another book that was out where the author wrote about John and even that guy didn't know. Denny said that the guy's book ends on the day Lennon was shot so he didn't follow through on that stuff. There was another book called ''Lennon Revealed'' and that guy didn't know about it either. Then that guy went out and asked Yoko about where he's buried and he wasn't able to find anything.
Denny said that he can't find a definitive answer to the question. Howard asked Denny about a story he heard where Denny and Scott Muni went up to visit Yoko and saw a large box in her apartment that Muni thought might contain the mummified body of John Lennon. Denny said that was his theory back then.
Denny said that he just can't nail down the story so this is another one of those cold cases out there. He said he's hoping that the audience is going to call in with some information and maybe offer a reward for the true answer. Denny said that even May Pang doesn't know where he's buried.
Howard said you can find out more about Denny, this Lennon story and more, at www.ClassicRockArchives.com. He let him go a short time later. Howard said he had to take another quick break there before bringing in William Shatner. They went to break a short time later.

One of the more interesting tributes I've seen: (takes a while to load fully, but just play it after the first 3 minutes have loaded) John Lennnon (1940 - 1980) 28 Years Ago...www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHgOwwier5s

From a blog comment on Classic Rock Archives:
I AM A LICENSED FUNERAL DIRECTOR WHO JUST HAPPENED TO BE AT THE FERNCLIFF CREMATORY WHEN JOHN LENNON'S BODY WAS BROUGHT IN FOR CREMATION. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CREMAINS? THEY WERE TO BE RETURNED TO THE FRANK E. CAMPELL FUNERAL HOME TO BE GIVEN TO YOKO. GREAT JOB ON STERN! PAT GRAY
I asked about that Yoko interview, and with him, there were another three comments.. not exactly an astoundingly strong interest.. And yet the guy who happened to be there when the body came in just happens to weigh in? It's odd and out of place IMO.
I heard that Yoko once appeared on a BBC show hosted by Graham Norton, which ended when Yoko suddenly made a hasty exit when asked why she didn't bring "John" along with her, as after all it was just an urn. (with the premise that she had done so before in her travels) Trying to find a clip if anyone knows of it.
