The internet can't make up its mind whether the Amsterdam Bed-in was in room 702 or room 902. BBC says room 902, USA Today travel guide says room 702. Lots of web sites out there and they seem evenly divided on the issue.
The Amsterdam Hilton website advertises the John and Yoko Suite, but does not give the room number.
Anybody have a definitive reference on this? My gut says go with the BBC and room 902.

It may be both. Hotels sometimes change the numbers on the rooms. You wouldn't think it would be a common occurence, but it happens more often than you'd think. What was 902 is now 702, etc.

It may be either of them, or even another, non-mentioned number.

It could as well be at the 7th sector.

But a lot of times they'll remodel the main floor, and take out the "mezanine" (second floor), and make the third floor "conference rooms", and there you have it. And as Latvietis has said, they number the hotel rooms in sectors these days.

BTW, Wikipedia says it's Room 702. I found a German video on youtube where a journalist enters the John and Yoko Suite. The sign outside the door says 702, so we at least know what it is today. I wonder if has been changed since 1969 or stayed the same? www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBxIIsirkis-j
