I wasn't kidding.
No interview, no shoe, no sole, nadda, nyet, nope.
Here we can talk about the downside; how we are disappointed, yet hopeful; depressed, but not demolished; let down, but not done in; crushed, but not broken.
We're gonna make it anyway, somehow. Chin up, gentleman, hold the flag, steady, harch, 1-2-3-4!

Has your countenance fallen? No! A resounding No! Just a little around the neck area and one cheek. I can get it done for around $11,000 but I think I'd rather spend it on lipo.

In the meantime, I am going to listen to Ecce Cor Meum.
I know he tells it all inside that piece; I think the secrets are embedded in the viola part and the text. And it is---folks---it's a truly NICE piece of classical writing.
But we can wait. We can wait as long as it takes. We can wait YEARS if we have to.
We have been. We have waited 2, 3, 4, some of us 5 years. I bet some people out there have waited DECADES.
I wonder WHO might be in the DECADES club?
Anyone here that has known for decades and secretly wished Bill would "call the game?" Huh? Fess up. Use your fake screen name, but you can send me a private message with your celebrity title on the sly.
I am kidding.
No I'm not. Spill it! Spill it!
What does it matter these days? Nobody 'll believe you anyway!
Talk it up. Erect a billboard. Text message the state of Texas with "I know that Paul was replaced. It ain't him. I was there when it all went down."
Or just send me your affidavit, testifying that you saw John Lennon tell Lulu that it was all a big hush hush thing; and that the Prime Minister was in on it, and that even Prince Charles knew, etc., and that you secretly sang "Getting Better" and got paid Big $$$ while you watched Bernard Purdie play bongos on Good Morning........

So I was in Florida working 6 months ago and had this drummer, well we got thru rehearsing and we was leaving the job site when a friend of his on bike accosted us on the street at midnite and said that he knew Bernard Purdie, and that Bernard Purdie was moving to Atlanta and did I want to meet him? I said yes why not, but then I lost his number and business card and my other drummer friend forgot his name and now we can't find him so I guess the deals off.
This is how I almost met Bernard Purdie but it didn't work out.
What would I say? "Hey, Bern? Did you play the sh*t? Did Epstein really write you that check?"
I think he would haul off and slug me or say, "Hush, none of your got-tam business!'
So, I have decided that meeting Mr. Purdie would not be in my favor. So, if you folks want, come to Atlanta and look him up and ask him yourself.
I don't really have the cajones to do it. That is "cah-honies" not cah-Jones.

Purdie seems like the kind of fellow who could slug you, but not for asking that question. I did hear that narada michael walden and Purdie had an interesting conversation about who played on the Steely Dan records, and since they both played on different versions of the same tunes (which was part of the steely dan production method) I heard they came close to exchanging blows. Anyway, Purdie would just tell you he played on 20 of the Beatles hits and you would think he was crazy, but then you would listen to him actually play the drums and you would get to thinking...and then you would try to find examples of Ringo playing without another great drummer playing along (like Jim Keltner), and you would think...maybe? Oh wait, that's me not you. If you really want to contact purdie, check out his site www.bernardpurdie.com/

maybe iaap's american airlines flight got cancelled? And, 4/11 being a 9/11 echo, he actually gave the interview but it blew up somewhere in western PA? (i'm sorry that's a terrible joke)

Just one question tho..... Why is ANYBODY surprised by this non-developement??

Well I still think its gonna happen...
In the meantime I would like to propose a game to keep us all entertained - if Mike is willing to disclose the final 9 questions hows about we all try to answer them ourselves?
Might be fun and I'm more than willing to go first...

It's still going to happen....
*sigh*
I wish the naysayers would just do a little less "I knew this was going to happen", and a little more "Oh, let me see what's on the telly----OH SHIT, THERE'S BEEN AN EXTRAORDINARY NUMBER OF FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS AND DELAYS THIS WEEK, that explains it then, etc., etc.."

Why would he be traveling specifically on the day he intended to conduct "business"? What was he doing in the "West Indies" , partying? Don't airports have internet access? Why couldn't he still get his point known, as promised on that date, especially considering all that time "stuck on the ground" in a waiting situation? The nay sayers have a valid point Jude.

Of course he had internet access, but I think he wants to do the interview via webcam, and at "home", sitting comfortably in a suite in Los Angeles.

I'm certain Mike will have an update soon. If iaap had no intention of doing this interview he would have had a far better excuse. I don't know how many of you live in the UK but cancelled and delayed flights have been nothing short of scandalous over here recently. Jude is right to point out that such an important interview should be conducted in comfort (thanks for your reply btw As for being in West Indies maybe he's a keen cricket fan, seriously though, he is clearly a busy man. How many hundreds of hours of work have been put into the RA series? Hundreds upon hundreds and then some... just for a prank? Just to run away and leave a trail of dust? I don't think so. I had my doubts over that 15 second 'Blair Witch' clip but as someone pointed out its potential relevance I'm learning to keep the faith... There will be an answer.
