playing in Wilkes-Barre this Wednesday, a day before her 86th birthday, and yes, I will be there! *Petula Clark and John Lennonwww.youtube.com/watch?v=lGBM1Ya7wwY"Petula Clark recounts, on Thursday April 27, 2017, an event in 1969 when she sang in both French and English at a concert in Montreal, at the height of Quebec's language issues. It was not received well by the audience. At the same time, the "Bed-in" was happening at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel and she headed over to see John Lennon for his sober second opinion. (Dave Sidaway / MONTREAL GAZETTE) "So she sang on "Give Peace A Chance!" Who knew? * So maybe she'll see me there!

She didn't sing it. But she did tell the story shown in the video above, and then sang "Imagine" in honor of John. She sang "Blackbird" in honor of Paul. An ok concert, I would say, but terrific for someone who is about to turn 86. We sang "Happy Birthday" to her!
