"In 1964 it was decided that the patients in the mental observation ward at the Central Middlesex Hospital would come under the care of a psychiatrist. Asher immediately resigned his post at the hospital and virtually gave up medical practice." (Go to the second section the last paragraph). www.rsm.ac.uk/media/1394213/015_-_richard_asher__1912-1969__a_celebration_3rd_nov_2014_-_24_jan_2015.pdfSo, we have Paul moving in in Dec. of 1963 and Asher resigning from the hospital and giving up his medical practice in 1964. Seems to me the Asher home would have been a great place to hide a sick Beatle.

"In December 1963, McCartney took up residence at Asher's family Wimpole Street town house and stayed there until the couple moved into McCartney's own home located in St John's Wood in 1966" (click #4 Personal life on the link) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_AsherI find it odd that Paul? moved in with the Asher's, the story goes that he liked home cooked meals. He was rich enough to hire a cook for that.

Chica, your posts are excellent. Oh My Gosh! Thank you silverbeatle. You know I'm on the computer every and I mean every day looking for things. I've been researching for about 2yrs. I think the thing that turned all this around for me was when I found the 1963 pictures of Paul? in the street heel shoes. That just blew me away and what's the funny thing is I hadn't noticed the shoes, I had concentrated on the face and had the pictures a couple of months. Again, thank you for your kind comment.

It's probably an urban legend but I have read that Paul had IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Well there's two subject's we'll probably never get to the bottom of shoe lifts and IBS. I seriously doubt that Paul spilled the beans in any interviews or that his band mates let it leak that he had the screaming shits and couldn't get off the toilet.

Someone told me they believe that Paul wore lifts in his shoes. Doing a quick search I couldn't find any related articles on the subject and I've read quite a few Beatles books but the subject never came up in them.

August 6, 1965 they were pretty blatant about the switch when they released the Help album. You have George and John that are the same height, Paul is much shorter than them and is closer in height to Ringo on the front album cover and you have a Paul? on the back of the album cover that is as tall as John and George if not a little taller.

It's weird, it's like this guy officially publicly became Paul/faul April 3, 1964 with this interview at Twickenham.

We've seen a taller Paul? come on the scene in pictures and as if to seal the deal there is the Mockers Interview where interestingly enough Paul is the only one that is asked how tall he is and you guessed it he is 5ft.11in. I personally believe the young girls were given questions to ask by someone.

Despite the heel manipulation in '63' there are pictures from '63' that show that Paul was shorter than John. While touring with Gerry and the Pacemakers on July 22nd 1963, the Beatles had a visit from photographer Dezo Hoffman. He took photos and filmed the band riding go karts and fooling around in Victorian pyjamas, on Brean Down beach, Somerset; in Weston-super-Mare. He's just a little bit taller than Ringo. I believe John here is represented by beautiful professional dancer. If you told me this is Bolshoy Ballet dancer I'd say 'yes". Michelle, it's pretty obvious your not serious about discussing this, so why are you here?

Hey Lucy, nice to see you've joined us. In his book 'The True Story of The Beatles' which was written in '63' and came out in '64' Peter Jones who wrote under the pen name Billy Shepherd says Ringo was 5ft.8in, John and George were 5ft.11in and you probably guessed it Paul was also 5ft.11in, so why are they trying to hide his height and make him look shorter than John or George? Look at the low heels on his boots in 1963. It's just photoshop of the time. Boys appear as beautiful people who had years of ballet and classical piano training. Their bodies are in one of ballet positions! Of course we can't keep our eyes off them. So that accounts for the difference in heel heights? Farringdon Studio Late 1964 23 West Smithfield is the former London address of Farringdon Studio. This was the location of photographer Robert Whitaker's first assignment with the Beatles in late 1964. And now we start seeing a tall Paul that his heel heights are equal with John and he is taller than John. Where are those ballet positions now?

Notice how low the heel on Paul's? boot is and John and George's heels are much taller? Someone is trying to hid Paul's? height. The photos were taken by 15-year-old boy photography student Andy Wright. The concert took place at Fairfield Halls in Croydon, South London on April 25th, 1963 I contend this is the real JPM and he isn't 5ft.11in.
