-----------------------Well, when you get to the bottom, you'll go back to the top of the slide. ;D
Listen iamthewalrus, we've tried to point you in the right direction,
but you say it's "a bunch of ... hogwash that has absolutely nothing
to do with PWR."
And I'm presuming that you are saying that because you are wondering
what became of the original Paul McCartney; and that's a perfectly good
question. The only thing is, if you are wanting to discover something
along the lines of "he retired to a county of fair fields in Connecticut",
or "he died or was disabled in a car crash", then the clues in the songs only
go so far, and then the trail stops. But the Beatles kept putting clues in their albums,
and individually they did as well, and when you look at
those clues,
the story that gets told is the story about 'the gods', the occult, and 2012
conspiracies. This seems to be particularly so in albums that Faul has been involved
with. So maybe that
is the story. And if it is, then you have to ask,
"Why is
that the story?" (And there-in lies the mystery.)
This forum actually started out as an anti-bullsh*t forum, full of people
who felt, as you now do. They felt that the folks at TKIN were going too
far "out on a limb", and they wanted nice, down-to-earth explanations
of what had become of Paul McCartney. And, if you can find them, there are some
threads here that people have posted about hearing stories that Paul had been
in an accident, or killed.
We've had people who were ready to try to go and find the grave, etc.
but all that has come to naught, while - as 2012 comes bearing down on us,
the "crazy stuff" has started to be increasingly relevant and transparent.
I am not trying to discourage you in doing what you want to here.
Do what thou wilt.
If you want to narrow down the 'departure date' of Paul from the group,
analyzing the vocals on songs, I can tell you it has been done here before
many times. And - generally - the evidence seems to point to a period
from June 1965 to October 1966 that Paul 'vanishes' from the scene.
Then what? Tell us what you think that will show.
Will it mean that you can locate a body?
I'm sorry, but we've been down this road before.
When I was at TKIN, the story, as told by the clues in songs sung by the Beatles
and others, seemed to me to be (at the time) saying that Paul had eloped
with Sylvie Vartan; they had taken on new identities and were in hiding,
but on the move like gypsies, in the American midwest.
Sylvie died or was killed, and Paul, full of remorse for his role in it happening,
decided to take on her identity. This wasn't such a difficult thing to do, as he
was already disguised as a woman, as a fugitive from the law.
He came back to New York City, where he was wanted for having killed
"a queen" (transexual) while high on drugs.
This may all be true, but more than likely it's not. Needless to say, when
I came here from TKIN, there were some here who were not thrilled to
see me.
My point in telling you this is that if you follow the clues in too literal a sense,
the story doesn't quite add up.
But then, if you see the story as a long story told through time, the pieces
seem to fit a bit better. Paul could have killed someone in a previous life,
as opposed to this one, etc.
"Man you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allen Poe" could mean that
someone who revealed secrets in this lifetime, as Edgar Allen Poe had possibly
done in an earlier time, got the sh*t kicked out of him.
And if you look at the Beatle albums with an eye toward the notion that
the story being told is even more cosmic than just the story of mortal human
beings, then there's a whole other layer of possibilities to be considered.
So, if, for example, Faul puts out two albums at the same time:
and on one album, there is a palm that has a white eye on it,
and on the other, there is a larger black eye on it,
then whether you or I like it, he's suggesting that he represents the ancient
Egyptian god Horus, whose one eye was the moon, and whose other eye
was the sun - though in this instance it seems to be a black sun.
And so we're back into "the occult and 2012 conspiracies
and a bunch
of other hogwash that has absolutely nothing to do with PWR"
according to you.
But it's there, so what are we supposed to do with it?
This place is a bit like the old one-room school houses of years gone by,
where everybody from first grade to eighth grade was sitting, and the
teacher had to teach them all, even though they weren't all on the same level.
You are allowed to post what you want. Iameye can post what she wants.
If you're not happy here, we're sorry to hear it, but we aren't obliged to
make you happy.
I would be glad if you'd stay. (After all, 2012 is almost here! ;D)
However if you wish to leave, you may; that is your choice.
You can even start your own "Paul is Dead" Proboard if you wish.
And I'd wish you all the luck!
Maybe if you do, you'll be the one to find out what became of Paul.
However, I think you might be surpr-eye-sed when you get to the top of the slide.
