Utter pish-tosh. Poppycock. Rubbish. Bunk. Folly. If a regular rhythm wasn't a good thing, then why does every human have a regular (though quite flexible in beats per minute...) heartbeat? It means life itself. If loud music is "bad", then why is the sound of a thunderstorm one of nature's wonders? If the Beatle's were "so bad", or whatever, then why do so many "good people" love them and their music? This kind of guilt peddling smacks of a kind of calculated writing disseminated by religious or political manipulators. As far as evil drums go, if the writers would check their facts, they would see that the civil use of percussion dates to antiquity.Perhaps the particular disco patterns of "Boogie Fever" were unknown to the ancients of Israel, but study of the Old Testament indicates that loud percussive instruments which we find lauded in scripture, were used regularly in worship. i.e. God likes loud drums in music meant to praise Him; why shouldn't the music intended to raise the joy of the masses be likewise zesty in it's use of drums? Like, would God say, "I ONLY want the drums loud for me. You sinful multitudes, well, sorry, you don't get any! Or if you do, you shall burn in hell for it! No drums for you! Sorry! Only for Me. I get the drums. Period. I want all the wicked people to listen to out of tune dirges while crawling on their hands and knees. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha." If "Helter Skelter" makes you feel euphoric and happy, charged and ready to face the day, then it's really godly music. If an out-of-tune, shitty arrangement of "Amazing Grace" makes you want to blow your brains out or kick in someone's teeth, then it is, for you, not a very holy selection. I have heard thru the grapevine of the dead that, for the time being, Jerry Falwell, who is in a waiting room for the Pearly Gates, has either Speed Metal or "The Tele-Tubbies" playing around the clock in his chamber. And his maid is a little guy named Tinky-Winky. This is a REALLY dumb post, but I thought I'd post it for now just to see how dumb it sounds tomorrow. But anyway I HATED that nasty swipe at the Beatles. Let me drive that point home. And tuck it in for the night. And then lock it in safely. And then drive home and crash on the sofa.

Oh wow, at least they should get their facts straight. You've got that right.... I find this type of writing quite disturbing and alarming not to mention pathetic. First of all, if one is going to present an argument that the Beatles were Satanists....should present quotes from the musicians themselves stating that they practiced Satanism. Or by those who worked closely with them or were close to the members of the band. Secondly, if one is a "Christian" to see all of the depravity in songs like "Little Child" or "Hey You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" when it's not clearly given by the songwriters as to the subject matter, there is something seriously flawed in one's own character. To see depraved things in songs that are not clearly depraved by content reflects something more disturbing....that this person considers themselves Christian or even more disturbing than that, a Christian LEADER using this to "teach" others. Finally, if this writer claims to be a wise Christian scholar, and can mishandle material about the songs of the Beatles, how much MORE do they mishandle the Bible? For someone to make judgments based on assumptions is a dangerous thing. One can suspect someone else's spiritual condition by looking at their public lives, but to write a piece as this, and have it displayed on the internet for all to see, is pathetic ..especially when the person does not personally research the artists and the material. It's obvious that this person did not research the songs discussed. The comment about Rev. 9 saying that John was a homosexual necrophiliac by "turn me on dead man"...is by far one of the most insane things I've ever read regarding the ideas for what this song is about. Someone needs to do more research IMO before they go and write this stuff.

Actually, I find that kinda amusing in a sick, twisted way ! ;D Well, for someone who is supposedly "religious" cooking up these things...that is twisted and sick.

That's OUTRAGEOUS!!!! Masturbation is NOT a SIN!!!! ;D No, but seriously, he even says down below it's a joke, although I've read all those things before... I don't like judgments... Here's an excerpt from a book by a guy who says even Christian Rock is Satanic... I had to laugh, cause you gotta admit it brings quite the picture to mind... Jesus the guitar slinger? With a Heavenly twang on his open E power chord, Metal Messiah Jesus swoops down like a screaming jet to deliver all his hoppin' Christian headbangers from the wimpy, washed-up Devil. Shazam!

There is alot of craziness going on in "Christendom"...and that covers Catholicism to Penecostals and mainstream Organized religion.... I've just read about the "Annual Faster Pastor" race where pastors from local churches are racing each other insouped up racecars...for the "glory of God"....it's almost as if they are making fun of their own faith...who needs to do it from the "outside"..they are making a mockery from the "insiders". wnwc.nwc.edu/page.php?id=86Too insane to make this stuff up.... and they have the nerve to talk about the Beatles?

They also got the Lennon quote wrong. He said they were more popular than Jesus, not more powerful.

When people shoot drugs, the needles leave marks on the arms. Drug adicts call these red marks "strawberry feilds" In this song John Lennon is expressing his desire to always shoot drugs into his body. This song sounds like a drug induced experience and was written while Mr. Lennon was high on heroin.
Have you watched Airplane 2? There was a sign in the airplane - "TOTAL BULLSHIT". This would go good with the text written higher.

It's gone. A link that someone had put up to all kinds of Beatle-hating articles. The person who had gathered them did it as a joke, but most people who went to the site thought the views represented were his.
