But on the other hand... I'll concede that THIS picture... well if you want to argue that there no difference in appearance, use this one.. This one's a winner!

Even in that bizaare, unflattering ADITL photo, the nose, mouth eybrow and visible eye (although he looks very stoned) look the same to me. There is a part in that video just before Paul sings his section (right after the Big Ben shot) where he's not dancing around and making faces, and he looks a lot less freaky. Unfortunately I'm on a Mac, and I can't do a screenshot off of the DVD player. It just gives me a blank screen. But you can trust me. I'm an honest guy.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how you folks don't see the same person in these two pictures though. Granted, there are a couple of time-periods when Beatle-Bill was lookin' pretty damn close, as in the green jacket pic. Jojo posted... But I'm still tryin' to wrap my mind around the fact that so many people can look at pics of JPM & post66 Paul & think they're lookin' at pics of just one person. The guy in the Rain video sure isn't the same guy as that person in the Strawberry Fields video or MMT. Once I saw it & let my befuddled brain accept it, there was no goin' back. It's a rare occation now when I can't instantly say if it's JPM or Bill. And those few pics that screw me up usually show up here! Lets bring in Scooby & Shaggy & the gang. I'll bet those meddling kids can get to the bottom of this mystery!! Oh man! Come to find out... it's really Paul in a Beatle-Bill costume!! And he woulda got away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling kids!! ( I may be watching a tad too much Scooby Doo these days.......only when my grand daughter's here; of course)

well at least we all agree that ringo was replaced ! The dvd Fun With The Fab Four has some footage of The Beatles doing a talk show with Ringo's replacement, kind of a Q&A type show, they weren't playing. I guess that fun little ride didn't last long for that guy.... a few weeks probably.

Well of course he LOOKS the same as he did in 1966 and earlier. Otherwise, noone would have believed he was the same person for so long. The key is to compare the pics side by side, that is, Paul before 1967 and Paul after 1697 and the differences will become evident to the discriminating eye.

I guess I haven't seen the Day In The Life Video before, but I've seen some of the same frames of Paul inserted in the Monterey Pop DVD...I think in the Features area. I would really like to view ADITL.

There were three versions of that video at the very least anyway. The most common one is the one that's on Anthology, it's very common to find a boot of that as well. The only place I've seen the "cutting room floor" stuff is on a a compilation of 1967 footage called "Nothing Is Real". Someone, and I don't know who, even made their own video of "Walrus". Tell ya what, I may regret this, but watching videos is most instructive IMO. I'll upload (and it will take a few hours, so be patient) the NIR video, and put it in a password protected area. If you want to see it, and you have a high speed connection, (a must, it's >600MB) PM me and I'll let you have it.. This will be for a limited time only, and if my bandwidth count gets too high, I may withdraw my offer.. Sound good? Btw, Within, i have a mac too, I'll see if there's a way to screen grab. I have a windows PC as well, I gave up trying to find "workarounds" for stuff like this.. Edit: sorry I meant Matchbox, long day at work..

Hello Every one. hi Larry, no I'm not leaving your board. I just wanted to point out to eyesbleed that the comment a few posts back about Faul sometimes looking like Paul can go the other way. Maybe Paul sometimes doesn't look like his old younger cuter self. Doesn't it stand to reason that if a claim is made that Paul was replaced, but yet it is admitted that the replacement can look very close to the original only sometimes, then it could be that it is really the original still there that looks different sometimes?
But anyway, I have these high resolutions scans from pre 66 mags. i will make the images available to your guys soon.

Hi Kazu, and welcome! Fair enough, and thanks for your thoughts. Could he look more different at times than at others? Well yes sure, but it's like this, up until 1966 the differences didn't exceed a certain threshold, and then afterwards I see it going all over the place. Some pictures I've found catch the alleged imposter so far afield from looking like JPM that well.. Just too much, else I'd have gone to another site way back when..

There's always room for more pre 66 pics at www.jamespaulmccartney.org/I'd be happy to post'em for ya. Back to yer original question, I'll just ditto what Jojo said. There's a lot more to it than just lookin' "a little" different. I don't have the time to go over the complete summary of differences right now, but there seems to be plenty of them. Most of which have been argued at length either here or previously at that other place. Well, I gotta run.... so there's no time for a PID rant tonight.... Oh well, maybe later!

Some of the pre 66 images I have also seem to not look like his normal self, but actually look more like he did in the 1990's. It's odd 70s and 80s have him looking different. I will prep them to be reasonable, yet still high res sizes. You can even see the magazine printing dots. I use some on my site, but there are many more.
