Weird, I was thinking the same thing, that ain't the guy from Dec 1966 either. I hear the Revolver press conference guy if I close my eyes..

It defintely looks and sound like Faul to me. I think it was at a point when he was closest to being Paul before he went too far or his face started to "faul" apart. ;D

The year 1968 is the one where there has been agreement that Bill hit his peak, yes that's been said before. I just don't see the ill at ease mannerisms here that I see before, and actually later on, when talking about the "old days". Makes me wonder about revisiting the idea of multiple Fauls, although damn...we'll never figure that one out, ha!
Funny how he mentions becoming a knight, and what about the pic of Paul holding a sign with a question mark?

Yeah, it's weird that he mentioned the knighthood. Maybe they promised it to him as part of the deal?

I can honestly say I have never seen 'bill' be so Paul like ever, other than LIB .. but then you watch something like that McCartney TV Special and it's like WTF!?! who's that? It's very Paul.. good comparison is one from anthology.. I dunno where or what disc, but early on.. I have a still from the interview: so if you know what one it is.. watch them back to back! I think this 68 clip could be Paul!

He's more at ease in this interview, but then they flash that picture of Paul with the question mark sign and I remember what the original Paul looked like.

I think this 68 clip could be Paul! If it is, it could play into the alternate theory.

Funny how he mentions becoming a knight, and what about the pic of Paul holding a sign with a question mark? To fix this post to make it clear, as far as the image of Paul with the question mark goes, could that be a "Faul"#2, whom I will temporarily christen "Charley", for lack of another name. No, on second look, it is not another Faul or William or Charley.etc. That image in fact is very true to Paul. So, it must be James Paul; all this talk of a third Paul is maybe just a product of two years of my looking in confusion. I don't know for sure. At the moment, it's hard to tell. BTW The rest of this post had confused even me, and so, it has been purged. I may put on my "K-tel subconscious imagery analyzer background subliminal audio tapes with music by Yanni" tonight and see if the great methodical genius of my inner mind (cue laugh track) produces a clear, revealing answer. Of course, with me, there is every chance a clear answer will confuse me even more, but then, what fun is knowledge if there isn't something left to sus out? Sussing like a madman (a peace loving madman), yours truly, Doctor Robert, who himself would like to be a new and better man. But, I've never yet found the pill that will do the job.....

A bit O/T. In order to merge one person into TWO, or I should say divide, there was always this: www.reelclassics.com/Techtalk/matting-article.htmHappen to catch an hour of "The Parent Trap" tonight. Actually, a great old film, though very dated acting wise, it has so much of old American society in it. I was 4 when it was made, and saw it around that time, and it seems way cornier now, but still, enjoyable. A very young pair of Haley Mills' twins playing and singing rock and roll is not to be missed.

I think if we compared this side-to-side with a Paul interview, there'd be no question it's Bill. It's got his same style of speech and round-about way of making a point.

I think if we compared this side-to-side with a Paul interview, there'd be no question it's Bill. It's got his same style of speech and round-about way of making a point. Actually, from reviewing it again, I see you are correct about that. The physical likeness has improved astronomically by this interview. Paul's speaking voice, from what I get in the "Think for Yourself" audio clip, was deeper, and throatier. Paul's pronounciation of "r's" and the long vowel "i" , even if he is joking around a lot in that "Think for Yourself" audio, is a contrast to William's normally softer "r's" and genteel "i's". Unless I've been punked and JP or William have always played shifting games with their accents.......... On the song "September in the Rain", and I believe this is McCartney, he sings "Sept-tem-BURRRRRRuh, inuhRain!" every time. In fact, he sounds totally American. Love of the Loved, Besame Mucho, all the macca vocals from the 1962 recordings, I mean, is that Paul? Sounds so Americanized. In fact, a couple of tunes sound like he or whoever it is, is doing Elvis. Did Paul, or does Paul, have a admiration for the singing of Elvis? Well, who didn't thru the 60's........... Every guy singing in the shower: "Since maaaah____behbih lef' mih.........." etc. And, what does this have to do with the video clip? Dunno.......but now that the deepest recesses of the Apple vaults seem to be opening up..............who knows what marvelous gems we may yet find..............

I think his nose and left eye show major signs of surgery, it's not JPM.

The question mark "Paul" looks like he could be Dino Danelli or another pre-Sheppard/Faul double.

Having watched that interview again, he does look quite like JPM at the end when he grins, but he's got the bill "red-nose"
Anyone know what was up with his hair?
Notice how they focus in on George on the Butcher album cover, they might just be trying to tell us something there!?

From only one viewing of this, and having to look at the image as it downloaded, it looks like Bill as close as he ever got to looking like JPM. On the freeze frame, it looked like his right eye, (left eye to us) looks like it had been "doctored".
I don't think it's JPM. But I would not toss out the idea of an alternate Faul, possibly Dino. But I have thought this before I was in this forum. Looking at some of the post 1966 pics. But also thinking that the images we have that looks like JPM in ways, and Bill in other parts, like the image on LIB, could be what I call "composite man"-- the pictures with characteristics of both men made into one picture.

Who's the guy in the back seat of the car they cut to briefly? The mystery man, out of place inserted in the middle like this, and I sure have never seen him elsewhere.

I watched it through carefully. 1st thing I noticed is that it's definitely Bill. The ears give him away. They are much smaller than Paul's were. Near the beginning, he gestures using his RIGHT hand. Before that, I noticed that he was trying to keep his hands out of camera shot. I also noticed that he was trying very hard to act demure & low key. This is to make the charade of him being Paul more believable. I love that shot of Paul holding the sign with a question mark on it. Was there a question mark on that sign originally, or did they alter it later on as a clue ?

Yeah, it's weird that he mentioned the knighthood. Maybe they promised it to him as part of the deal? He'll be referring to 'his' MBE which is often incorrectly referred to as a knighthood.
