I finally found those stills from the "A Day In The Life" video that I mentioned in an earlier thread. These have been posted elsewhere before, and may have been seen by everyone before, but I thought they deserved another look: [imghttp://www.geocities.com/nspectorxxi/IMAGE003.jpg][/img] I'm new (this is my first attempt) at posting pictures. If they don't show up, just paste these addresses into your browser and enter. I think we have all have a pretty good idea of Faul's true, undisguised height now. Comments? p.s. Thanks Eyesbleed!

Sorry everyone. I'm really making a mess out of this thread. I posted one URL twice. The other one is: www.geocities.com/nspectorxxi/IMAGE002.jpgIf you put each of these addresses into your browser and "Go", the image should appear. Just clicking on these links will give you a message that you are not allowed access. You have to copy, paste and enter. Hopefully, someone can get them up so we can see them without all the trouble. Again, sorry for the messy thread. Bye for now.

He looks quite a bit taller than George, even allowing for some camera distortion.

Why is he so much taller than George? If these are accurate, than he's taller in those pics than Sgt. Pepper. His height always seem to be changing.

His height isn't changing, just the effectiveness in disguising it!
Whenever he seems to be the same height as the others, check closely to see what he's doing to create this illusion.
Is he leaning inward? Is he leaning backward (like the pic you posted earlier with the dog)? Is he slouching (Hey Jude LP cover)? Is he further from the camera than the rest (Hello Goodbye video, Let It Be rooftop performance, etc.)?
There are some great shots of "Giant Faul" during the trip to meet the Maharishi.
Not only was Faul taller than Paul, he was much more athletic and robust.
During the video for Strawberry Fields, if I remember correctly, Faul flies up into the tree. This is a video of Faul jumping out of the tree played backward.
I believe if Paul would have tried that tree jumping stunt, he might have broke a leg!
How about the pictures (1968?) when they are among all those flowers, in a park? Faul is wearing a pink suit.
There are some shots from that session where they are seated on a bench, and Faul just looks like a giant.
An overactive pituitary gland? Probably not. Just a different guy.

Who is trained for handling jumps like that? Besides a stuntman/woman, perhaps emergency personel, safety people? Fire/emergency types? Law enforcers?
Was Paul physically very coordinated, or slightly clumsy? Just a question.

How about the pictures (1968?) when they are among all those flowers, in a park? Faul is wearing a pink suit. So? I've seen MMT, and in the YMSN scene, he's the same height as Paul would be. I don't know what's going on in that pic. The height issue doesn't matter much to me, because I just got anthology #8, I saw them singing Revolution, and I saw Paul. 100% Paul. No long face, no strange hair, just the same Paul as the one in We Can Work It Out (#5). Is Paul dead? Maybe. Is every pic we see of Paul, realy Paul? Maybe not. But I know that he didn't die in 1966.

Sorry Flaming Pie, that's not Paul singing "Revolution". No way!
Not only is Faul a bigger guy, his torso to leg proportion is different than Paul's (legs are a lot longer compared to his torso).
This leads to a totally different body shape. Surprised you can't see that. Paul's hair is totally different. After 1966, we never see his hair fall the same way again.
Instead of Paul's natural right-to-left part, we get this mussed-up look instead! Faul was never able to get his hair to part like Paul's, and I'm sure they tried everything.
After they went with the mussed bangs look, Faul got tired of trying and went with parting his too-straight, too-light brown hair in the totally opposite direction.
I guess they don't have an operation for that!
By the way, I don't think there's anyway Paul would ever be caught wearing that funny-looking shirt in "Revolution"!
Don't get me wrong, though. I love that performance! John's guitar sounds so raw! Bye for now

In fairness to Flaming Pie on the face isue, there are more parts where it really looks like Paul than not, and in fact, there are a few frames where it's 100 percent spot on. He was smiling and the eyes were lit up in a "James Paul" expression. But there are frames here and there where I see that upper lip that's hangs too low over his teeth, or the eyes go back to looking not like Paul's again.

It's best to compare Paul and Faul in live motion, not pics. But that's just my opinion.

You are right on JoJo. There are times he really does look almost 100 percent (notice I said almost).
But the illusion, sadly, is just an illusion after all. It can't be maintained all the time. These pix illustrate this point all too clearly.
As for the MMT video "Your Mother Should Know," he's not tricking me there!
Right after they come down the stairs (with their hands behind their backs), at the beginning of the song, notice how straight John is standing up compared to Faul.
As they get closer, it becomes more obvious.
Look carefully at Faul's beltline (midsection) and shoulders. It is easy to see he's leaning inward, forward toward the camera.
This is most obvious right before they move out of the camera's sight.
An illusion can be entertaining, but it's not something to believe in. Not after you know the truth.

It always did, or it's a result of a nose job? a rhinoplasty has no effect on your lip

If they push your nose downwards then I guess your lip may go down with it.

Flaming Pie,
Have you scrutinized the beginning of the "Your Mother Should Know" video yet?
Once you see and acknowledge this, every other instance of Faul disguising his height is going to jump out at you.
You admittedly already notice the apparent difference in height on different occassions. That has to tell you something.
A person's height can't just change.
Logic dictates that his method of disguising his true height (with the help of the other 3) is more effective at some times than others.
There is a black and white photo of Faul from the "A Day In The Life" session, illustrating some type of prosthesis.
I don't know if there is any prosthesis, but can you honestly tell me you think that guy is James Paul McCartney? Come on.

But when they go back on the stairs and give the salute, before they cut to a close up, John, Paul and George are all the same height. No movement, no bended knees, all of them in a natural standing position, all the same height. But still not the man in the LSD interview.

Regardless, when they dance up to the camera, John is standing up straight, Faul is bent over forward at waist, shoulders in, and tops of their heads line up perfectly.
He is disguising his height right here. He is trying to create the illusion of being the same height as John, but he isn't.
As far as if he's the same guy in the LSD interview (what is UP with that hair? Not Paul's!), I think he is. Just in a different stage of surgical repair. Then again..?
Whatever the case, the original James Paul McCartney hasn't been seen in public post-November 1966.
That's not him in Revolution, not in YNSK, Strawberry Fields, none of that stuff, unfortunately.
What's funny, I still love Faul-era Beatles, yet have found myself tentative in listening to the Faul cd's in my collection: "All The Best" and "Band On The Run" (1985!).
I popped out All My Best the other day and listened to it. It used to be one of my favorites. I still like it the same, I just realize its not Paul.

He is bent over forward at the waist, shoulders in, leaning towards the camera as he comes forward 99.9 percent of the time during that sequence in YMSK!
This, to have the top of his too-tall head line up with the top of John's head.
Think. Why are you grasping at the small instances in which you think he isn't trying to disguise his height?
Why, when it is obvious the majority of the time he is attempting to reduce his height?
You can't say that the majority of the time Faul isn't leaning forward, backward, sideways, or positioned just a little bit behind the other 3 so the tops of their heads are lined up.
If you have access to the Hello Goodbye video, look at the foot placement of Faul compared to John.
Faul is standing further away from the camera, yet the tops of their heads are lined up. That could only be if Faul is taller!
You have said that his "height is always changing."
How could that be? A person's height cannot change back and forth!
Even though Paul's disappearance is unfortunate, disappointing, and even possible a little saddening to some, we shouldn't turn a blind eye to the truth should we?

So, in other words, we're just going to ignore all the well-chronicled evidence (and there is a lot!) of Faul's various techniques used to disguise his height just because - as you say - it can appear that a person's height can change back and forth?
Huh?
Have fun with JoJo's new posting (1966 & 1967 interviews), especially the comparison pix that Revolver posted there.
I want to read what you have to say about that.
Maybe something like this: "His face didn't grow longer, his eyes didn't get closer together, and his head didn't get taller, it just appeared that it did."
I can hear it already. Talk to you later Flaming Pie!

Again, sorry for the messy thread. Bye for now. Hey madtitan, I did the exact same thing a while back. I needed to post pics so I went right to geocities first, not realizing that they didn't allow hotlinking to stuff. Everybody sez photobucket's good & free. I'm still using inkfrog at 4.95 a month. With all them vintage magazines, I sure do seem to be filling up my space quickly!
