Ya, the bottom 4 are much better than anything I've seen of his before. Those are the first 4 Billy paintings I've really liked, but those 4 are very good.
Thanks for posting those.... good wallpaper material.

I had decided it was about time to change backdrounds, I'd had the sad b&w pic of john in the studio 67-68 with the John & Paul poster hangin' over him up for the longest time. So I put up the swirly red impressionist painting of the old man & the trees up as background for a couple of days, it's fine, but I got tired of it pretty quickly. But I put up this one a week ago & this is an absolutely amazin impressionist work. If our Billy really did this.... I'm absolutely floored. He should veer away from the total abstract IMO. His abstracts kinda suck... again.... IMO. Every day this thing is up, I'm more amazed. When I get a little time, I need to research Billy's paintings a little more. Un--believable

Wow, I see what you are talking about, eyesbleed, totally. Yes, he can work in different mediums, styles, etc. The last four have the motion, life, sense of moments captured out of time; also the figures have the realism and spatial accuracy that reveal how keen his eye and sense of proportion really are. I guess abstracts are a more subjective form. He's found a voice there; but I agree those four impressionistic examples are very impressive, very nice to look at. Especially the horse rides in the woods-- I guess, is that he with Linda? I love the one of John, and how one is pulled into it by the pathos of his enigmatic soul, seen peering out through the round granny lenses hung over the bumpy, rugged ridge of his long, narrow probiscus. It really is, core essence, John. That's a lot to capture; Sir Paul must have a sharp eye.

I can see why he doesn't show his artwork to a lot of people! Except for the impressionistic one, it's crap!

Kind of hard to believe that the same person did the lot of them plus the impressionist piece...Maybe the real Paul did the last one, lol.

I'm impressed with this new stuff. I went to art school and Faul's earlier pieces reminded me of the stuff I saw in my first year. Pretty amateur, but in all fairness he only just started painting. FYI: The "impressionist" piece of him and Linda is digital, not an actual painting.
