It does appear another place, the Yellow Submarine / Eleanor Rigby UK 7", though not the original release, but a 1980's reissue: I had this image for a while and never noticed the P either. I may be on to something: www.greatdreams.com/hands.htm

Well, John is signing what could be a combination (a ligature) or ASL letters "Y", and "L"; and Paul is signing something like "O". It looks like "OK". But they are British and whats it got to do with deaf sign language, nothing. So, i dunno. A shot in the dark, and a miss, once again. But, is that also "Baphomat"? (John's hand?) Or just a rock and roll, "YEA!" I guess its just being moxy at the photo session. Now, about the morse code in Ringo's drum part on Pepper....

The secrets of Phoenician-Hebrew letters: www.meru.org/Press/Atlantisrising.htmlPacked with a passle of pertinent, positively perfectly profitable prose, as opposed to parsimonious pulchretuidnous puscilanimous polemics. I need to have that fixed.

The hand signals: Paul is making the "OK" sign, John is making the "B.S." sign... it's pretty clear, unless John was into Satanism, and I really don't think so... those are the only 2 meanings that I know of... Here's a link to songs and dates: www.thebeatlesongs.com/compendiums.htm I need to know when those photos were taken.

The hand signals: I need to know when those photos were taken. That photo above looks every bit like a 1968 shot. After MMT and before the White Album I would guess.

Does anyone know the context of this scene in Yellow Submarine where "Paul" lands on his head?

I know cartoon characters often go through odd contortions, but anyone who has their head positioned that way after a fall or other kind of accident is done for. Btw, I don't remember that scene. I'll have to go back and watch it when I have a chance, perhaps an unused frame?

John is making the "B.S." sign... Yeah, when I was growing up, that was what I knew that sign as, especially since he's showing the back of his hand.
