doc sings like Jenny Wren, er, mean Jenny Lind, the nighting gale.
but the king prefered the mechanical voice to the real bird's.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jenny_Lind"In October 1849, Barnum hired an Englishman, John Wilton, to locate Lind and make her an offer. She wanted to fund new schools in Sweden, and Barnum's offer would allow her to earn a great deal of money. After checking Barnum's credit with a London bank, on January 9, 1850, Lind accepted Barnum's offer of $1,000 a night (plus expenses) for up to 150 concerts in the United States."I don't know if the Wilton High School in Youknowmyname231's latest sneak peak video is related to this person, but it's an interesting coincidence.

Nah, none of that is necessary. He looks like you these days, and vice versa. Say....are you his clone? Interesting post, Iameye. I am enjoying their youtube vids. Peaceful, easy listening music and it isn't square or corny. It's heartfelt and relaxing.

Very interesting! "Then one day as the lark sang by the water The god of the sun heard her in his flight And her singing moved him so, he came and brought her The gift of sight, He gave her sight. And she opened her eyes to the shimmer and the splendour Of this beautiful young god, so proud and strong And he called to the lark in a voice both rough and tender, "Come along, Fly with me, my meadowlark, Fly with me on the silver morning. Past the sea where the dolphins bark, We will dance on the coral beaches, Make a feast of the plums and peaches, Just as far as your vision reaches, Fly with me."Compare to: "I want you to fly So the cage is open Now we've taken flight Rising and falling like snow In the night."from the Faul song "I want you to fly". Also consider the analogy of how Paul [as the sun god] and Sylvie Vartan (the "bluebird") [as the meadowlark], (apparently) stayed behind to please the king of the rivers [Johnny H.], and then (apparently) died or was killed, resulting in Paul's condition (apparently) being described in the song "Paint It Black": "No colors any more; I want them to turn black."In other words, no more sun (and no more 'sun god'). "But the meadowlark said no, For the old king loved her so, She couldn't bear to wound his pride. So the sun god flew away and when the king came down that day, He found his meadowlark had died."So, perhaps, after the sun god left, the meadowlark committed suicide, being unable to follow the sun (god). And the sun god, what became of him? Sorrow (Pink Floyd) "A man lies and dreams of green fields and rivers, But awakes to a morning with no reason for waking....
One world, one soul Time pass, the river rolls
And he talks to the river of lost love and dedication And silent replies that swirl invitation Flow dark and troubled to an oily sea A grim intimation of what is to be.
There's an unceasing wind that blows through this night And there's dust in my eyes, that blinds my sight And silence that speaks so much louder that words, Of promises broken"So neither the sun god nor the Meadowlark succeeded in joining together, but the Faul song suggests that what they failed to do by day, they might yet do in the night. What they failed to do in life, they may yet do in the afterlife. (Perhaps?) Or in a more pleasant version, as in the Meadowlark song, the one singing the song turns out to be the meadowlark who had died in a previous incarnation, and now is given another chance to "get it right." "And now I stand here, starry-eyed and stormy. Oh, just when I thought my heart was finally numb, A beautiful young man appears before me Singing "Come, Oh, won't you come?" And what can I do if finally for the first time The one I'm burning for returns the glow? If love has come at last it's picked the worst time Still I know I've got to go.
Fly away, meadowlark. Fly away in the silver morning. If I stay, I'll grow to curse the dark, So it's off where the days won't bind me. I know I leave wounds behind me, But I won't let tomorrow find me Back this way.
Before my past once again can blind me, Fly away. And we won't wait to say goodbye, My beautiful young man and I."Or, as so nicely written by "Paul McCartney": On The Wings Of A Nightingale www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlQjYDvHGxM

Actually spot on. I must tell you also that "Meadowlark" is about adultery. The character singing, the Baker's Wife, has become dead to her older, fat, balding, gruff husband. She was the town beauty, and married him when she was too young to know she didn't completely love him, or wouldn't always. Anyway, she is seduced by a veery handsome young man who come to the little French village. She tries to work out her inner conflicts with her choice in this song. Out of context, it all could have much broader meanings of course. There are some youtube show versions of the song, from a tape of the show, showing the brief scene leading into the song form which a little more exposition is shown.

"It's your thing, do what you want to do..." - the Isley Brothers which was supposedly the song that influenced 'the Zodiac' to write "do my thing" in one or two of his letters. Influenced might be the wrong word in that it presumes a song can influence a person to that extent. Perhaps the killer would try that argument, but the only music that can really influence a person to kill is Ringo's solo album.

This information is stolen from tafultong's blog:"pmc27 said... Hi Tafultong, thanks for naming me. While you were writing this article I think I found out two more things on the lyrics. One is on Highway: (a song on the recent Fireman album)Highway, do ya, do ya, do ya. Baby. Highway, do ya, do ya, do ya. Play dead. Highway, do ya ,do ya, do ya. Who's making you follow. Highway, do ya, do ya, do ya. Lose me in the hollow. PLAY DEAD?.... January 26, 2009 10:22 AM "------------------------------------- The scenario of someone being followed in a car, pulling over and "playing dead" remind me of the "Death Cab for Cutie" lyrics, which can be heard here starting at 0:56: The Rather Unfresh Apple 4www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-iODoij-pkGiven Faul's inclination to leave clues in his songs, it may be that he is describing (vaguely) a real incident involving Paul evading pursuers with hostile intent.

Paul McCartney - "Take It Away" www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHEk1RKECgMWhat is this video really saying? We have 'the EYE' appearing from 2:16 to 2:19, to a standing ovation from the audience. We have a "sole survivor" (" soul survivor"?) driving down the road 1:02 - 1:15 switching on his radio a peculiar triangular light over "Ringo's" eye at 1:41, perhaps unintentional 1:46 - "In the audience, watching the show with a paper in his hand some "important impressario" has a message for the band"2:37 - Mirrored McCartneys shown, and the words "They've been listening to ya" being sung. 2:49 - "After hours, late in the bar by a darkened corner seat faded flowers wait in a jar 'til the evening is complete"comments coming! (Feel free to put in some of your own! )

So, uh, moving right along.... Interesting comment, -j. I will comment on it later. In the Blurro-vision version below, the video ends with McCartney at the center of the eye: www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9s950VfMxASo Faul linked himself with 'the eye' early on, even as he did later on, as shown below. But as iameye pointed out in another thread, Frank Sinatra was doing the Horus thing for his generation. (See picture in previous post.) So perhaps we should consider the eye ('Horus'?) as the more permanent entity, while its 'spokesmen and women' speak to different generations as time moves along. If Faul speaks for "the eye", it seems it wants you to be him/her/it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=apx0dpO05ZgI want us to hide (Ooh) I want to lay low (Ooh) Doesn't make sense but (Ooh) I wanna be you (Ooh)
I wanna be you (At the) I want to be you (Same) I want to be you (Time) I wanna be you (At) I wanna be you (The) I wanna be you (Same) If "eye" can be Faul, or Frank Sinatra, he can be Paul too, right? That is, if Paul allowed it. But then, maybe "eye" already is us, and we just don't know it. iameye ;D Ho R us Gettin' back to the topic at hand.... Why is the "important impressario" also the "sole survivor" in the video? Sole survivor of what? (I'll comment later.) Why does he (in the video) 'go behind Faul's back' and have Linda sign the contract? Why did the Rolling Stones change the lyrics of their song "Soul Survivor"? Is it related somehow? Soul Survivor (original version)Soul Survivor (second version)Who are the faded flowers? I was thinking the jar had Paul's ashes in it, but -j's comment makes more sense, if we think of one whose feminine side is displayed via accoutraments kept in a jar 'by the door'. (Let's see if this will post correctly this time.)
