In the 1988 video, IMAGINE JOHN LENNON, George and John have a conversation about "Beatle Ed." Who is Beatle Ed? The conventional wisdom is that they are talking about Bill/Faul, but I think they were talking about John Lennon. I checked the Swedish charts of 1971 and Faul & Wings were on there but so was John. In the book, THE BEATLES THE FABULOUS STORY OF JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE & RINGO, there is a picture of John with his jacket open and the the t-shirt he has on says ED. People have been discussing how different John looked from 1966 on and IMO he was replaced. Another little subtle clue was in the Lennon tape with Howard Cosell posted a couple of days ago. At 1:09-1:10, Cosell mentions a football player by the name of Eddie--ah--Freddie Dryer. Cosell was not just a sportscaster, he was pretty hip about current events and I think he said that to make a comment about John-Ed. Has anyone else come across info on a John replacement named Ed?

At the breakfast table, they're talking and giggling about Beatle "Bill" which is Faul. If they mentioned Beatle Ed, that would be Ringo's stand-in/double. I've seen him in 3 YouTube videos. His face looks identical to Ringo's, but he's somewhat skinnier.
